Edit: Nevermind, I installed it wrong. Instead of replacing the folders, I just copied over them, which apparently left some files there that messed things up.

Yeah, you definitely need to replace them, otherwise you get all kinds of issues. At least for the objects folder anyway.
I would probably suggest just renaming your stock objects folder, then dropping the LL objects folder of your choice into there.

Can i play this mod with graphics?

Well, now... certain amounts of a graphics pack may work. Especially those that cover Chariot's zoo mod. However, other items will not be included. As it stands I suck at making pixel graphics so I decided against making extra ones for this. However, feel free to try matching stuff up, yourself. It'll work, mostly.

I just tried installing this on a fresh .18 install, and got a rather interesting glitch... most of the civilizations (with the exception of Hobgoblins and a few others) are spawning as Forgotten Beasts. Adventure mode crashes, but when I start in Fort mode, I start with a band of unique Forgotten Beasts, with tame Forgotten Beasts having pulled the wagon, which was made out of solid Emerald Dye.



It was just a raws mixup I bet, but I copied the Quick Install over into a fresh install of DF... any clue what might have gone wrong?

Yeah, you copied the quick install over into a fresh install of DF.
You need to replace your vanilla raw\object folder with the one provided. Otherwise the mod will not work/work as intended.

seems interesting, i'm downloading now, but i'd have liked to see what is included in this mod, in terms of fauna, flora and new civs. i'm sure i'm going to be removing a lot of stuff, i like to play in an europocentric world with very limited tropical and new world intrusions, like potatoes, llamas, kangaroos, etc, and knowing exactly in which flavors this mod was made would help my job a little

it's not really a europcentric world. But it doesn't have kangaroos or anything. It's more of a mix of Europe, North America, and Africa in terms of animals. The landscape has a number of new crops and flora, all of which are fantasy themed but not particularly out there.
The megabeasts are fairly european in flavour, and the caverns are where secret things are. I won't divulge too much there.

your modular raws inspired me a bit, i may post here in a few days a couple of smaller mods based on this.

hm, the errorlog gave me some errors



if this means these tokens can't be used in creature variations, you're in serious trouble :\

EDIT: some skills are missing from the "outsider human" creation screen, like swordsman and shield using... but they are there for the other adventurers
EDIT2:actually, other adventurer races also miss some skills, goatmen lack shield user... must be something to do with the mod's entities

ok, I see the problem. the fixed material modifiers file is present in the custom install directory. I'll have a fixed mod download up in a few hours, but for now you can fix that by copying it across.

Strange about the speech. Can you please check that you've properly replaced that folder?

Also, are you still receiving the long list of speech file errors?

As for the skills being missing. This is fine for the specific empires. That, at least, is based on the entity. I have no explanation for why the human outsiders might be lacking swords, since all entities for humans possess them.
