Incidentally, most hits affect the armor worn on the torso, unless there's a good reason not to. Some attacks, especially unusually brutal ones, will hit other areas instead, so while wearing just a breastplate will
often work out perfectly well, there will be a handful of circumstances in which something goes to town on your soft, unarmored legs.
