« on: July 12, 2010, 04:15:07 am »

 >:( im raging right now, had an awesome fortress going only to have a titan come... the titan itself isnt whats got me pissed its the fire it shoots, KILLS MY FPS. im on a 3x3 square and my fps is so slow the game is still running as i type this and i have nothing to worry about.. Can i turn this shit off, its an fps killer and is completely unnecessary until it can be used without ruining gameplay

Turning of temperature in the init file might do it.

I suggest you don't think too much what you build and where. When ever you need something, build it as close as possible to where you need it. that way your fortress will eventually become epic
Because god knows your duke will demand a kitten silo in his office.

I think it was because it was the dead of winter and the damn thing kept shootin fireballs at a guy next to a frozen lake. Removing temp fixed it tho, and my marksdwarfs eventually beat him to death with their bone crossbows cause i had yet to equip them with quivers :D

Note that if you leave temperature off, your surface water will never thaw.
