Blinded? You mean the infravision would report full white. But that's not a problem, because above ground, the regular vision, with a much higher signal strength, superposes the infravision.
I always thought cave adaptation had something to do with infravision.

I don't suppose you could wipe the poll and start it over, now that half the features on it are done?

I don't have time at the moment. A manual suggestion-collection and a final poll to order them can be done by anyone.

What I would do if I had time was look into this forum software and try to build a form where users can vote for stuff OR suggest new stuff, with the ability to remove outdated stuff, so we could have ONE everlasting vote of suggestions.

Dwarven entrance dance. Then the extra raws and the levers. The basic things should be covered first, as far as I'm concerned.

Please.
PLease, please, PREASE.
MS-DOS version of DF so that every ps3 owner with linux and DOSbox can play the game.  It can't be that hard, can it?
I signed up for this forum to make this solitary suggestion, and insignificant as it may seem, it is my contention that making a DOS version of DF will open up a larger audience for the game.  Especially considering that a linux-based ps3 is becoming more and more prevalent, and the powerPC architecture presently prohibits everything besides DOS based games.  It is my personal contention that DF is the proverbial "killer app" that could open the minds of many consumers to the capabilities not only of the ps3 hardware, but also the complexities and possibilities of homebrew software.  I work at a video game retail outlet(which shall remain nameless) and not a week goes by that I encounter a customer who, like me, bemoans and abhors the lack of depth and longevity of currently published commercial titles.  Dwarf Fortress is a title that I have personally represented and campaigned for at said store, and I can only hope for my customers' sake that they have sought and found what I did in DF;  an experience more rewarding and altogether artful(inevitable and moot comparisons to Tolkien aside) as a randomly generated world than anything offered in published titles with their pretenses of originality.
So please, pretty please, with sugar on top,
build an MS-DOS version of DF so I can play it thru DOSbox on my ps3 and hand out pro duo memory sticks with the game on it to my hardcore RPG customers to share the gaming experience that has made a better impression on me than, I dare say, Metal Gear Solid 4(no disrespect to Old Snake).
Prease.

Ok, I've locked voting, because the thread has become obsolete. Maybe someone can unsticky it and sticky the new one?

DOSbox

It will not work. No way. DF requires 2 ghz to work. DOSbox requires 2 ghz to emulate 100 mhz CPU.
To play DF in DOSbox you would require 40 ghz CPU...

For all who suggested "improve framerate": "Make the game faster" isn't a suggestion. If it was worded in an other way "Focus on improving framerate instead of new features" it would be one.
It shouldn't even be on the list.

how can ia change my vote? and why aren't new sugestions in the list?
it would be good if anyone could edit the pool options to add or remove alredy done suggestions and if we could change our vote (i think at least this is doable and for the new ones how made it should be able to change ...)

I locked the voting, because most of the votes aren't relevant anymore, and you can't remove them. I guess there will shortly be a new voting thread, meanwhile a collection is going on here: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=23687.0

Please don't post more replies in this thread, thanks!
