More raw files.

In particular user adjustable 'difficulty' settings NOT related to imposing restrictions on yourself ingame, but rather increasing general amount of hostile enemies, earliness of first small sieges/raids, frequency of megabeast attacks, that sort of thing. Not just attributes of enemies.

The end result of this being that the player can choose both his non enemy difficulty (i e biomes/attributes of site, already implemented) and enemy difficulty via the above. I definitely won't mind editing the raws but an ingame difficulty setting of this at embark with 4 or 5 settings would please a large amount of players im sure.

Everyone could play the sort of game they want to play.

Mass dump designation (and melt/hide) is in for next time, as well as rectangular mass construction placement (not mouse).

You are awesome.

Frame rate can be player-addressed through disciplined gameplay and austere choices.

The entrance dance can be player addressed with the addition of skylights so that dwarves do the dance deeper in the fortress.

RAWs are for G-d Modders and will always be a source of more bugs to be addressed.  Given the choice, I want more improvement to the stock game.

Underground diversity would be nice, but that sounds like and early- or mid-game feature.  My early- and mid-gameplay is satisfactory and occupied with fortress design, special project construction, and wealth accumulation.

My vote is for improved sieges.  Introduce late-game sieges that are an actual challenge for late-game players.

Currently I can send one founding dwarf out to wipe out an entire siege of goblins.  Or, if I'd rather, I can pull up the bridge and watch a whole passel of uncoordinated marksdwarves take pot shots at helpless greenskins.

The next update is just getting more and more awesome!
Does this mean you could build a bridge-like thing out in the air without having to build one floor at the time before doing the next one?

I don't know, but because we're getting it (and Designate Dump), I wish to change to Stack Handling.

I have no problems with you wanting the stock universe to be improved. It is fine for many people. I do have issues with the fact that you seem to be convinced that we are a detriment to the community for simply wanting to open up the game to new possiblities. Some modders do change things simply for difficulties sake, yes. However, I, and several others mod the game simply to change fantasy worlds.

The stock world is great, yes. It is where our options are currently drawn from. And honestly, I'd rather not see too many more RAW files until more variations can be put within them in terms of what we can do with them. But calling an entire group of people (who seem to have warranted a board unto themselves) godmodders seems a little bit hostile to me.

I've dumped the mbwf and (d)d suggestions, because Toady has announced to have implemented them. I've included the next best suggestions from the last vote.

You can prolly re-make this thread as a poll, for a re-vote.  It would make everything easier.
