.....on superhuman, ironman, terran weapons only!

Started an LP come watch the progress and comment! Also if you want to be placed in the team post on the newest video what weapon you want and ill add you next 'draft'.

I get the "Terran Weapons Only", and of course "Superhuman" is obvious... but what's the Ironman challenge? "Finish the game with your starting soldiers" or "No save scumming" or something?

Oh, and by the way, is there a reason you don't have a Containment Facility? After my first game ended with the very first enemy unconscious, I always start a prison ASAP.  ;)

Either way, looking forward to the first battle.  :D

Ironman means i wont save/reload in anyway :D If i save it will be incase of crashes only or progress save, no reloading at all.

Agreed I need containment!, for some reason I procrastinated on that.

First battle is up, Part B i think i called it, quick one it was. Second mission is awaiting upload :D

For the ironman challenge, since the point is not to scum for better results, I'd advise saving after every mission on the same slot. Crashes are infrequent, but there is a known bug that might corrupt the save. (In fact, it's safer to have multiple saves for the game).

Terran weapons... that means you can't win the game since you can't go to Cydonia? Or do hybrid weapons count as Terran?

Well, all you need to get to Cydonia is the avenger, as well as capturing alien base leaders. The avenger is transport, not a weapon :P.

my wallet shudders at the cost of arming avengers with avalanche missiles on superhuman... so many replacement avengers and crews x.x

Lasers are terran weapons too...

... hmm. Actually, on terran weapons only, you just let the larger UFOs land, I guess.

If you want to quibble over semantics, the PSI-AMP is actually Terran (the aliens don't have anything similiar, theirs is biological not technological) and it's not really a weapon...

Make sure you overcome the "all difficulty modes turn to easy mode after a reload" bug.

Also, Flying Suits are not weapons either.

Sort of how like in TFTD your aquanauts can walk/run faster than a normal human wearing casual clothes. DESPITE that your guys are wearing very heavy diving suits made of metal designed for the Mariana Ravine!

Also, the fact that your freaking flying subs in TFTD can travel at supersonic speeds... UNDERWATER. That's plain old terran tech BTW.

In oother words, realism is not a major concern...

at the time of the game's creation, the setting took place over 45 years into the future. I'm guessing they figured technology (especially after an arms race with a technologically superior foe) would have advanced a bit.
