this uses the bonfire mod as a base but the glob form cleans up the mess if you toss it.
still doesn't smear like I hoped.

also you could just remove them out of the bag no need to drop them on the ground.

I just mannaged to make some armor but it's too large for a human. What size should human armor be?

Does this require the bonfire mod? and how would I go about installing and using the hadouken?

TUMMY PARADOX NOTWITHSTANDING, I continue on my journey. Shortly after leaving the banks of the river, I begin climbing the mountains again. After climbing a 45 degree-ish slope for a while, I find a pointy outcrop with a trio of mountain goats on it. I kill one and the other two run off. Climbed the mountain some more and assassinated a marmot. Chased another one to a plateau with some more goats on it, ignored them.

More mountains, more plateaus with marmots and goats on them, etc. I wish I could do more stuff, I'd love to dig out a little cave-base up here and get a bunch of followers and lead them to a marmot genocide and whatnot.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

So I'd been collecting left upper incisors from these marmots -- I don't know whether I got them from butchery or I just knocked them out with my heavy metal bolt-slinger, I only checked the ground after I disassembled the marmots -- because hey, teeth are pointy, maybe I can throw them at things.

Apparently this one was still leaking blood when I threw it.

Didn't want to turn a double post into a triple post, so I'm tacking this bit on here.


Chased another marmot for a while, wanted to save my bolts so I just threw the bones of his friends and family at him and ran at him until I caught up to him (I'm superDWARVENLY agile. Not sure how I got there). I reached the marmot just after a ramp; the marmot tried to slap me, and -- because this is probably a law of physics by now -- my idiot dwarf jumped off to the level below, suffering several wounds. Then the marmot ran down and bit my nipple, but I headshotted him on the first try so that's alright.

The bad news is that my 1-story vertical sojourn broke my leg- no, wait, yellow doesn't mean broken anymore, it's just bruised. Odd, my throat and upper body are also bruised, but they have brown wounds. Ah well. I can still walk and it's not slowing me down none, so I'll be alright. Besides, my recuperation ability is ABOVE AVERAGE.


Oh, and I was finally able to eat something, so that's good. No more hungry.

Neat, are there any mod packs that utilize the full features of DF modding to make the game more interesting?

Just a few reactions for adventure mode, thought I'd share them.
And just in case anybody doesn't know, there's no need to add [ADVENTURE_MODE_ENABLED] reactions to entity_default.txt
But you HAVE to gen a new world (can't even mod the saved regions raws >:( )





I have a bone bolt making reaction (I think it has ended up exactly the same of the reaction previously in the thread, but I don't know (don't sue me!) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to split a stack of bones eg. I killed a leopard, butchered it, and took a stack of 11 bones. I've tried dropping, throwing... and that's all I could think of. otherwise, I'm sure it would work as intended. Any idea's anyone?

^ I just thought it would be better to figure out a way in-game rather than mod a reaction for free bone. Cheating's good 'n' all but it brings the Fun out of the game

Has anyone tried making a reaction to make bandages yet?

Do bandages take thread or cloth? I am yet to have a survivor from injury in my forts -.- (damn caverns are too deep)

I was sure i read somewhere that they were usable in adventure mode. Never had the energy to build a fort just to test it though.

It says on the wiki that you can. It seems to need testing, I suppose. I'll try it out.

I'm stumped as to whether or not bandages are made or just improvised from cloth...
The wiki article (if you can even call it an article) is not helpful at all.

Finally hit grass again. Absolutely nothing of the cute, fuzzy, and edible persuasion in the last third of the mountains, for some reason. Pretty boring terrain, too, it was mostly pretty flat until shortly before I left the mountains.

Now I'm off to the nearest human settlement to sell all the meat and stuff I accumulated.


EDIT: Nope, as I was traveling I was ambushed by a pair of lions. Shortly after they mauled me a wandering cheetah jumped in to get a piece of the action. Now I'm dead. Ah well.
