So unless anyone has any objections (IE, move over an include the river, larger embark zone, etc) this will be the place.

Uuuuh, with the new .10 version already out wouldn't it be better to use that? .9 seems to have some big bugs.

Yeah, .10 came out when I was sleeping, so we'll use that instead, since it's only bug fixes and not much else.

Edit: I threw up the link for phoebus' tileset + DF 31.10 on the OP. I'll probably move the embark over to catch that brook, and then get started playing in a few hours.

Any suggestions/requests for embark conditions? (Items, skills, etc)

Might be a good idea to have our woodcutter double as an axedorf and make sure they have some armour.

Was planning on it. I'm thinking three picks, three axes, about 50 food/booze/seeds, and maybe a couple breeding animals, which is what I usually embark with, plus maybe some armor.

I usually try for a 2:1 booze:food ratio because that's how it's consumed.

2 food 4 drink per dorf per season or so I've been told. I generally go with 60 drink and 30 food.

Okay, some things about embark:

1) Location size of 3*3. I know some people want bigger areas, but for me it means too much lag. On the other hand, I'm second in turn list, but this request is just so that I can be added to the turn list again.

2) Not high elevation differences on surface. Again, FPS issue.

3) River. Just river, preferably no waterfall. Makes things more interesting and easier (farming). Brook is fine too.

Also, what I suggest is that each player decides what they do during their own turn. Of course, if one starts mega project, others are expected to finish it, just with their own touch.

Finally, does everybody has possibility to claim dwarf? And if yes, then what method we use for claiming?

You know, they could teach maths like this at school. "There are 105 dwarves in a settlement. A goblin invasion appears and 67 die. Then a migrant wave..."

There aren't any high elevation changes, just a flat plain with a gentle brook.

And of course, your turn is your turn. And if you want to claim a dwarf, just tell whoever's turn it is. For now, of course, only the first seven people who'll be playing can claim, but once migrants arrive, they're all fair game.

Alright, so begins the history of Flagpast.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Heeding the concerns of Kipi, it's a 4x3 embark, (as it had to be to include both the brook and the evil tiles).
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It's a nice place- no aquifer, plenty of evil, a gentle brook, some soft soil near the surface, and flux stone below.

I'll start playing later today, get a proper write-up going- but for now, just a preview.

I embarked with a pair of breeding horses, three picks, four axes (one for our soldier, to protect us from any early-game evil) something like 80 total of two different types of booze, 20 lungfish and 20 prepared some kind of meat, some leather armor, and then a couple bags/misc items.
