Instead of spending this time worrying about whether or not an update to a videogame will wind up being released 12-24 hours (oh god) past when you expected, you could always, I don't know, go do something else. This is all incredibly inconsequential.

You dare to suggest we not worry about the impending update? Traitor.

Bay12games.com was still up (AFAIK it never went down) but bay12forums.com did... for a while I was getting the "site/server unreachable" error, then just the maintenance mode.

but now it's back, YAY!

not terribly worried about the new version, a day one way or the other doesn't bother me: I <3 bigfixes :)

I thought it would be ready today, but I ran out of time (it's 9AM, again, so I guess I ran out of time a while ago). It should be up at some point tomorrow, unless something really weird happens.

He jinxed us.

I was all, "Ohshits, they banned me. Well time to vaccuum the house."

A ban from Dwarf Fortress would be like having Sanity handed back to you, with a side platter of reality. I hope it never happens to me. XD

Of course! But I can only take so many people going completely apeshit on the IRC channel and forums over whether or not the new version would be released one day or the next (and over the forums being down, for that matter) before my nerdrage kicks in and I have to yell at people on my computer screen in order to feel personally vindicated.

Fair enough, although I think I'm just annoyed at the general trend of people being really impatient when it comes to stuff like this (which I don't consider inconsequential in itself). You know, the sort of people who can't stand to have to wait another hour for anything lest their heads explode.
