Sign: Still giant ants. Not much hope
Slightly differnt embark sized
Damn. 4 Undead onehumpers on the 3rd
One finds us at 13th
Our Mason/Backup miner/carpenter is the first to go. Four are "safe" inside
All six get inside, our ox and the female elephant get inside, but the male is being chased.
21st
The elephant is fast sonofabitch. But not too smart. He is chased around for some three solar days or so, the escapes one camel, just to run into the other three. However he turns around, before they notice him. He goes to chill outside our door. The onehumper who chased him leaves. I expand the burrow to reach the wagon in order to move inside.
6th slate
6, ironacly enough, twohumpers have come. I can only pray that our temp mason will finish the table soon, so I can have everything inside
14th Slate
everything is inside I destroy the door, and build a wall.
18th Slate
I flood our too-be farm, then realised there wasn't *Quite* enough space to get 1/7's. I have to open the door. I end up using our last stone as a floodgate in place of the wall I dug out. I should've used a wall, but meh.
Damn. I dig down to try to reach stone, and I go down like... 3 too many layers because limestone and white sand walls are the same image. Damn you, Ironhand!
Summer
We've struck flint and gypsum. The first thing of any note since the flooding of the farms...
10th Malachite
Migrants. I decide to unblock the wall. Even though 4 onehumps are stalking out there.
1 bone carver (hello farmer)
1 clothier with some axedwarf skill
1 potash maker (miner)
I'm inspired by this to, rather than having us shut away in a vualt, I'd make a complex entrance.
3rd galena
I dig down some more, and discover all sorts of stuff, including lots of gold!
