Turn 3 - Die bunnies die!

Actions:
Conquer the little village, use void magic to nullify the life force of anyone who opposes my hostile takeover, they just fall down dead
You gather your provisions and set out for the village. [3] You make decent progress and should arrive next turn. [4] You fry several innocent creatures along the way, your void magic reducing their bodies to pulp and dust.

revive the rest of the skeletons...
You set about reanimating the other 24 skeletal remains. [5] You don't know what went wrong last time, possibly some arcane interference from those dusty catacombs, but this time you successfully reanimate every skeleton. They are, in fact, quite a bit stronger than Skalkr, though not as clever.

Clever skeleton is now named Skalkr.
24 skeletons join the ranks of the tower's army.

I summon an earth elemental and command it to begin digging a tunnel into the secret library. Then I teach the smart skeleton to play chess. Just because.
You attempt to summon and bind an elemental to your service. Summoning: [6] Your magic is still surging wildly. You succeed in the summoning, and are confused momentarily when nothing appears... then outside you see a massive gemstone eye peering in at you. Binding: [5] You successfully, and hastily, bind the enormous elemental to your service and command it to dig a tunnel to the specified location.

Alicia drinks enough alcohol to get rid of the ringing in her head and returns to the Scrying Pool to attempt to locate a band of thieves, vagabonds or bandits in the area.  Or even some willing goblins.  If she has enough concentration left/isn't too gods-damned drunk, she tries to use a weak general-purpose communication spell to lure them to the tower.
You set about scrying again, looking for a band of ne'er do wells of some sort. Search: [3] You do find a small band of thieves camped out in the swamp. They are a good distance from the tower, and it is a very small band... only 5 people. Spell: [4] Blood magic isn't especially suited to communication or enticement. You craft your spell and send it out, and it ends up taking physical control of their bodies. They fight the spell the whole way, but it marches them directly to the tower.

I go and study.
You settle down in the library and begin your studies. [1] You spend several hours poring over notes and books. Nothing you are seeing makes any sense! You don't remember any of this from your basic instruction. Eventually you get so frustrated that you throw the book across the room and storm out. No progress this turn, and you may not study death magic again for 5 turns as you are annoyed at your lack of progress and frustrated with the whole thing. (Just be glad you didn't chose void, else they might be carefully reconstructing shredded books.)

Turn 3 sees our first critical failure, and the creation of the first undead army. 25 skeletons wearing amazingly hard and heavy armor, swinging menacing stone maces. They seem very adept with the weapons, and absolutely loyal.

Once again, Alicia commandeers the break room just in time for breakfast.  In a stroke of malicious mercy, breakfast is Helfd's favourite dish; soup.

During breakfast, Alicia's spell frog-marches five unlikely ruffians into the break room and forces them to stand still.  Unfortunately, it does not control their mouths.

"Witchcraft!" one of them yells.  "Unhand us!"

"They're wizards, aren't they?" another, thinner thief asks.

"It's a girl, therefore it's a witch," shouts the first.

"Besides," adds a third, rather slow thief, "where are the beards?"

"Wizardry, dears, not witchcraft," Alicia informs them.  "Yes, wizards can be female.  No, none of us have beards.  Even invisible ones."  She smirks, then for a touch of amusement puppets their bodies into mock walking motions.  "I brought you here to offer you some jobs, gentlemen.  I do hope you don't disappoint me."

"What are you paying?" asks the first, apparently the leader.

"Your blood."

"We have our blood already," says the slow thief.

"I gather that's the point," sighs the thin thief.

"Oh," says the slow thief.  Alicia runs her palm down her face.

"Who's in charge here?" she asks.

"I am," says the first thief.  Alicia, puppeting his hand, forces him to slap himself in the face.

"No," she says, "let's try that again.  Who's in charge here?"

"I am," growls the leader.  Slap.  "I am again!"  Slap!  "Still me!" the chief thief laughs.  "Is that the best you can do?"  Alicia bares her teeth in frustration.

"No," she says quietly.  "This is."  She pulls a coin from her pocket and flips it in the air, catching it and putting her hand over the result.  "Heads or tails?"

"What?" asks the chief.

"Heads or tails.  Your future depends on it."

"I'm not picking the side of a coin."

"I really suggest you do."

"No!  Screw you, bitch!"

"You absolutely sure?" Alicia asks.  "That means leaving it up to me."

"For the gods' sake!" the thin thief yells.  "Just pick a side, Barry!"

"I'm not playing her f***ing game!" the chief shouts back.

"Heads!" screams the slow thief.  "He picks heads!"

Alicia reveals the coin, all five thieves falling into silence as they strain to see the result.  It is, indeed, heads.  All five thieves let out a sigh of relief.  Alicia looks at them with a puzzled frown.

"What are you so happy about?" she asks.

"Well, it came up heads, didn't it?" says the slow one.

"So?"

"So we get off free, right?  That's how it works."

"Who said anything about getting off free?" says Alicia, her frown relaxing and spreading into a slow grin.

"But... the coin-"

"Was about choosing which way your leader was going to die.  He's lucky he didn't get the ironic death - I'd have had him strangle himself with his own hands.  Wait, is that ironic?  I don't think it is.  Just funny."

"I told you not to pick a side!" screams the leader.

Alicia cackles madly and raises her hands.


Alicia attempts to draw all the blood out of the chief thief's body through his pores, in an effort to intimidate the thieves into joining her.  If she has enough action left afterward, she takes a shot at animating his dessicated corpse.

Rath walks into the village, sighs and then cracks her knuckles as though about to get to work.

"Hey come out here, i have an announcement to make" she bellows as loudly as she can.

The villagers gather arround, any visitor is unusual and are about to ask her what she is doing

Rath pre-empts this by saying "You all now serve me" she glances around, noticing a man ogling her, "yes" she thinks "he is the target" "and this is why"


Atempt to just destroy the man's life force, failing that go the other extreme and disintegrate the body, if the villagers are still uncooperative, rinse and repeat

Finally finished Hefd makes his way back to the break room for a nice, good breakfeast...
ARH SCREW YOU! Seriously everyday the same soup? And who are these guys?
it takes Helfd only a moment to realize what is Alicia trying to do.
I warn you! If you even try to splash him right here, we two get serious problems with each other! I don't clean the mess up! And anyways what are you trying to reach with that kind of stuff? Ughh I'm the evil necromancer with the mighty powers! BOW BEFORE ME! I mean seriously? If we want a better way to attract some self styled inquisition we'd only have to build a sign on our tower reading: COME HERE! HERE ARE EVIL NECROMANCERS! KILL US ALL!
For a moment it almost looks like Helfd would break out in laughter but then he only facepalms.
Come on Alicia! Let that man go. That's not the way you ensure loyality. Yes they might fear you and bow right in front of you but at the first possibility they run away or even backstab you.

Alicia recants and casts the five men onto the ground, grumbling.

"Stupid smart half-skeleton men.  Alright, then."  She addresses the thieves.  "I think it's pretty clear we can turn you into a fine mist if we want to, right?  So here's the deal.  Rob that village across the swamp blind and we'll give you shelter and kill anyone who tries to stop you.  In return, you give us half the loot or I'll cut off your flesh with a filleting knife and let my friend here use you as shock troops in the army.  Got it?"

Alicia decides to propose a fairer deal to the thieves.

Ok Alicia. We want him as a loyal servant of us right? So if you begin to squish the life of half of our servants for no good reason the other half will hate us for it and this can go horribly wrong. SO...why don't you help Rath in conquering the village? We need some flesh golems or something like that anyway. There you can squish as much as you like. And you let me do the work with those guys here, i know how to convince such men. Is that ok for you?
Helfd throws another look on the bandits and eyes them suspiciously

"Fiiiiine.  I need to make some blood sacrifices anyway.  Valeia gets antsy if she hasn't had a drink in more than a week.  When you want them freed from the spell, just say the word H-A-L-I-T-O-S-I-S, okay?"

Alicia leaves the Tower in the direction of the village.  Along the way, she looks for a sheep, horse or other large animal.  If she finds one, she slays it with her magic and reanimates its corpse into a mount so she can travel faster - or at least in style.

Helfd looked at the wretched men before him. He waited until the door slammed behind Alicia before speaking. An evil grin began to show on the left side of his face.

Well my friends, i must apologize for the rude behaviour of my buisness partner but she isn't used to ask for something. So as you already know we are necromancers and as you propably also already know we need...i don't want to say servants...but people proficient in the art of murder and slaughter. It's actually pretty easy my friends: You swear fealthy to every single one of us and do our biddings. For that you can live in this tower and can keep 5% of what you loot from other people. Additionally i offer you armory and weaponry for free. Here comes however the catch: should you EVER disappoint or betray me or one of my partners we will find you and believe me, we will slowly turn your life into a fucking miserable hell of pain. And after a week or so when we will have finished, and nothing but bones is left of you, i will revive you and then the pain has only begun.

A horrible laughter erupted from Helfd's throat, sounding like the croak of someone who just coughed up his lungs.

It's your decision my friends: Either you go now back in your miserable swamp and forget about all this and NEVER,EVER tell anyone about this little meeting or you work as our loyal soldiers and servants with a stable home, enough food and drink, good possibilities of loot  and amazing retirement arrangements. 


If bandits agree, go with them and the skeleton army into the catacombs and search them thoroughly. Should they not agree, let the skeletons kill them, tear the skin from their bones and then revive them as loyal skeleton soldiers.

It looks like we're ready for an update but I am dead tired. When I wake up I will progress the turn and we'll find out what happens.
