"sure ghazkul you can come"

adding to action; If i do find anything to kill, use void magic to strip away every part of its being, baring the bones, (or whatever i can do at my level)

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

You don't need to know what you CAN do, just tell me what you're attempting to do. I will give you the results based on your roll. And that is fine. :)

Name: Alicia Rhine

Element: Blood

Description: A short, slender woman in her early twenties with pale skin, grey eyes and long, silver hair kept permanently semi-obscuring her face in honour of her Goddess.

Sex: Female

Other: Alicia can be extremely charming and persuasive when she sets her mind to it, and even capable of long periods of study and concentration, but is generally impulse-driven, short-tempered and short-sighted.  She has virtually no empathy and worships a goddess of death and power who may or may not even exist.  Like all members of her cult, Alicia has no desire to actually see said Goddess arrive - sacrifices are made to prevent her coming.

Alicia fell into Xan's crowd mostly because of her complete willingness to procure 'fresh' corpses for his work.

(Sorry about the delay, guys - out of town the whole weekend for my girlfriend's 21st.  Also at work atm, so only writing on my breaks.)

Alicia does the obvious thing and uses the Magic Mirror to attempt to contact Xan.

Turn 1 - Where did Xan go?

Actions:
First action: Study death magic.
You begin studying in the library in an attempt to improve your Death magic skill. [5] You make major progress this turn, revealings several new insights into the sphere. Xan never let you have unrestricted access to his library, and the amount of knowledge is amazing. You believe that one more turn like this one and you will have the knowledge to be considered an Adept.

Additionally, you have revealed the perks associated with Adept level sphere training:

Rank 2 - Adept
- Mitigation of a critical failure - On a critical failure (Roll of a 1 on 1d6) the caster gets an additional 1d6 roll. On a 4-6 the failure is negated and the spell instead has no effect
- Limited to a single sphere
- May include a maximum of 2 elements
- Elements must be directly linked

Nevermind then, I'll work on the journal, then.
You attempt to decipher Xan's journals. They are extensive and seem to be in some form of code. [3] You make some small progress on deciphering the code. It will take more work before you are able to glean any useful information.

my action is to Search the catacombs for interesting stuff, and/or stuff to kill

adding to action; If i do find anything to kill, use void magic to strip away every part of its being, baring the bones, (or whatever i can do at my level)
You descend into the catacombs in search of something interesting, or at least something to kill. [5] You find a chamber which seems to have been sealed for hundreds of years, and inside are 25 carefully wrapped skeletal remains, each in ceremonial armor with a mace or sword at their side. It seems you have unearthed some sort of burial chamber for a group of warriors!

The catacombs are extensive, and there are many many more chambers to explore. You didn't find anything to kill, this time.

revive any skeletons wolfchild may find and send them back to the tower...
You are there when the 25 warriors are unearthed, and decide to try your hand at a little reanimation. [3] You cast the spell and draw the runes, and you think you have it correct, but something must have been off because only one of the bodies animate and it seems confused, running into walls repeatedly.

Alicia does the obvious thing and uses the Magic Mirror to attempt to contact Xan.
Taking the initiative, you attempt to contact your mentor with the mirror. [4] You invoke the mirror correctly and clearly say his name, but the reflection swirls darkly and the connection is not made. For some reason, the mirror cannot seem to find Xan!

Not a bad set of rolls all around, no outright failures or overshoots. I rolled these with physical dice in my handy dice tray.

Get your turn 2 actions up when you can.

Alicia gathers with the rest of the magi in the common kitchen at dinner time, indulging in her usual fare - a bowl of grana root porridge, possibly the most bland and unpalatable (though nutritious!) food known to mankind.  She doesn't even like the stuff, she's just addicted to it.

"So the boss is gone," she says, spooning a wad of the thick, soggy cardboard-like mixture into her mouth with a grimace.  "Like, gone gone."

"Dead?" asks one of the others.

"No, just gone.  I'm pretty sure the mirror would have found him if he was just dead.  So either he's hidden himself or he's just not in the world any more.  Or something.  I don't really care."  She drummed the table with her spoon a few times.  "You know what?  We should raise an army or something, enslave the surrounding villages.  It'll be fun."

"Bah, a waste of time. We have no use for a bunch of useless peasants. An army could still be useful though... I might be able to help with that."

I create weapons and armor for the undead troops(well, soon-to-be undead troops) with the manaforge.

I'm guessing that would fall under earth? We certainly can't send them into battle with ceremonial equipment.

Helfd was brooding over his porridge.

Dammit why every time She decides what to eat, we have to content with this horrible tasting crap?

although it nearly seemed that he fell asleep over his prrodige he listened carefully.

What do you think i already tried? We should really use the time the master is away to work on our magic skills practically and not only theoretically...propably he doesn't want us to know where he currently is and therefore did something with the mirror...

Helfd fell silent again and brooded a while ove that porridge.

Rath and I found some armored skeletons down in the catacombs. I already revived one, however it seemed something went wrong. Therefore i would like to reserve the library for tomorrow if none of you minds...

Study Dark Magic in the library and try to correct the mistake with the skeleton if possible...

Well, hopefully sturdier than usual, but no flashy enchantments. The best result would be stone equipment that's as strong as metal I guess.
