Why did you flood it anyway? And what's up with the corridor shape? Why did you breach the river at all?!

that was a mining miscalculation when i sought to find a way to make an unpassable barrier between the gearshaft and the soon to be pumpstack.

 :o

Good thing nothing has opened that door yet.  Lock it and wall the area off.  This could've led to a gradual flooding of the entire lower fort!

Then maybe it would be a good idea to... like, mine it? :)

miners are already busy 24/7 with all the construction/tunneling projects.

edit: Jailhouse complete, and with smooth rounded rooms too!

I still think they're a bit small though

You were asked to stop making the jail look like... er... well, you know what, NOT round the... er... bottommost part of it!  ;D

Is there any chance of all this progressing a bit faster? :)

Why yes, and I come with VERY good news too for we have struck...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Only problem now is that its killing my fps, so unless I find someway to stop the problem within the next day or two, I may have to revert back to the last save and give my fort up early to the next guy.
I am currently in mid summer with a massive pumpstack some 80 z-levels high and consuming +1000 power

And yes I am sincerely sorry for the long delays per update, but it really isn't easy to run a fort when everything is moving at 1/50th of the original speed.

edit: I may attempt to savescum and build a floodgate in the magma pool collection area and have the place fill up before closing the floodgates and shutting down the pumps (thus saving the fps of me and future DF players).
If for some reason I fail or it takes a ludicrous amount of time to complete, I will resign my post to next person waiting in line.

2 FPS?  :o Brutal. Nice work on that pumpstack, by the way. How much of it did people before you build?
