I'm quite certain that not only did I do my 2401.5 turn, but I also saw at least 1_24016.sav and possibly 2_24016.sav as well.

I also thought that I saw a 2, I can't find a 16 in any of my SEV directories...

I've re-uploaded the last save from me. My internet was acting up the other day, so thatt's probably where things got messed up.

How many players can SEV support in multiplayer mode?   3 or 4 of my friends are getting together for a LAN party and are looking for a multiplayer campaign game (preferably co-op vs computer players, but we can go head to head).  Would SEV serve us well as a multiplayer game?  (we were also looking at Napoleon: Total War   or  Europa Universals)  Thanks.

It would take far too long for a lan party, unless you managed to cheat up some fleets for single battles...

Yaaaay, newspaper.

Hmm, I have never played napoleon but I have played other total wars and they seem to take a while. I don't see much issue with number of players, but you will only be getting, at most, one person actively participating in tactical combat as it happens. A small map with lots of starting tech might not take so long, and yyou could give it a try I suppose, and simultaneous turns would leave you only waiting on the slowest player, which could get irritating but it would be better than a purely turn-based cycle. but definately keep the map sizes low, the turns can take quite a while to compile after things develop a bit, it can take minutes just to process a single battle... Also it can get a tad buggy in places, so keep a backup save handy...

All, thanks for your response regarding the practicality of SEV as a LAN party game.  (was considering Hearts of Iron, III, but it too is buggy as Klendathu and Klaxon.

On the other hand, I am probably the last one you should talk to about lan parties, my games are about 3 years out of date and I haven't touched a lan in years...

I feel like I should post something here, since Shonus did too.

Oh my. "bay12_3_24020_current_replay_combat.cmb added."

Looks like we're not exactly going to fulfill that "Peace Throughout the Quadrant" victory condition any time soon, eh?

Yeah, we need the odd misunderstanding to keep things interesting, I am kind of unhappy about how formal and polite I was. If I was RPing this properly my initial wave of ships should have mostly ignored everyone else with a touch of omnicidal mania if anything looked interesting... Oh how much trouble they would have cause for my poor race...

Oh well, there will be plenty more chances for me to kill humble explorers...

Also, it is kind of odd that I have a 3_20 combat log but only 2_20 save game...

I really have no idea what I'm doing... I figure my first fleet in combat will go sploosh, I'm hoping I have enough time to learn and adapt before being wiped out heh...
