The Player Character IS NOT QUOTE

In this instance, the player character refers to a Name-It-Yourself ("Hello DOUCH, take this sword!"), or customizable RPG character, or AFGNCAAP (Ageless Faceless Gender Neutral Culturally Ambiguous Adventure Person). In other words, pretty much any protagonist (or faceless soldier/adventure person) that the character is meant to deign an identity.

Examples include You from name-it-yourself JRPGs, The Stranger from Myst or Zork (about whom no details are shown, so they could be whoever you imagine) or a CRPG character- you know, the one who can kill everything and owns six houses and runs around tirelessly in demon armor without complaining. For example, the character you play in DF adventure mode.

So that's who I meant to specify- not the Cave Story character, who has a name you didn't give.

Edit: Oh, and whether the Dev Console is enabled to the player character is something you'll have to decide for yourselves.
