Bro moves faster than the human eye can see. He is so fast that in his battle with Dave, Dave winds up dueling his after image. His speed allows him to fight using a puppet with what is basically live action stop motion. Ed will be bisected before he knows that he is fighting someone.

Not really. Bro doesn't know what Ed's like, so he'd probably try to disarm him and get caught on the automail or somesuch. Most of Ed's first-time enemies make that mistake. Those who didn't knew Ed long enough to already know he had automail limbs.

EDIT: And what happened to the teamup? Seriously, that would be so sweet.

EDIT2: And Ed's survived being gutted more than once, on some occasions well enough to keep fighting.

Ed is pretty impressive, and Bro would probably underestimate him(Bro is used to dealing with a much weaker short kid), but Bro has yet to be hurt. Ever. Nothing has so much as touched him yet.

At the same time, I doubt Bro is used to fighting people who can clap their hands and attack you from an entirely different direction. Besides Jack, this is probably the closest anyone has come to being on par with Bro, and I don't think he's prepared for that.

That is a folly to say that he will lose because he is so used to fighting people very weak and therefor will underestimate Ed. He did not loss because of that to Jack and Jack is much stronger then Ed.
