When you take away body language and vocal inflection, very little of our standard communication methods remain. Spoken, or in this case, written language is a minority when it comes to conveying what you want to. The bold and itallics help, but not all that much.

Written language is a pretty poor standard for communication anyway. There's absolutely no way to see sarcasm, unless it's extremely obvious. Every other method has some way to detect what the other person is feeling.

The spelling is just with sound. The beeps of morse code are identical to one another, only being discerned by how long they are and the position of other beeps. As many have said: "It dosen't matter what you say, so much as how you say it."
