I have recently discovered that a -Iron Giant Axe Blade- sells for at least 2k dwarf bucks. I managed to purchase all I needed with 1 axe blade.
I have eight of these in a weapon trap, and am making more right now.
Is this the next cheap profit maker?

One of my possessed dwarves made an artifact large serrated disk. Despite it being nothing out of the ordinary material wise (was made out of iron, then decorated with mussel shell I think) it still fetched up about 200k dorfbucks. To think of what it would have been like had it been made of adamantine.

Well for the math... if iron has a material value of 10 and adamantine 300... that means if made of adamantine it would be worth 30 times.
In numbers 6.000.000 dorf bucks.

I have an adamantine giant spiked ball artifact.

Its a boring artifact, it only menaces with spikes of adamantine, but its still worth over $5 million. If it had more decorations it would probably be worth a lot more, but it was made with only adamantine, microcline, and dog leather.

It also seems that a *steel serrated disc* is worth 15k, while a +steel serrated disc+ is worth 11k.
Invest in steel if you want good profits.

i had a fortress whose entire economy was based on masterpiece serrated steel discs.  over 40000 each.  quite insane.  it isn't often you can build a weapon trap worth nearly half a million.

If you were to hit the adamantine trap jackpot, you'd have 60 million dwarf bucks in a single trap.
