Elements the game: Fantasy card game

Elements is a fun and interesting little card game which, along with Minecraft, sucks up all of my free time. There's about 150 cards at the moment, and it all comes together in a great game with interesting strategies. You use quanta (basically mana) from the 12 elements to play cards and use abilities, with more cards coming every now and then. The most fun element to play is Entropy, with cards like Fallen Elf/Fallen Druid, which creates mostly-random mutants with random abilities, and Pandemonium, which targets every creature on the field(or your opponent's side) with a random affliction. It has a good pool of cards, which can all be upgraded, with a wide variety of fun abilities and more to come. Note: for the quest where you choose a weapon, Eternity, Pulverizer, and Lobotomizer are the favorite choices on their forums.

Both you and the website mention quests. What are these about?

There's a couple quests, bottom right of the in game screen, mostly to get you started. Though once you beat them and get a rare, you can upgrade cards for 1,500 electrum or challenge False Gods, which, without the right deck. are like beating IWBTG on impossible while blindfolded.

I sometimes play this, quite engaging, however after the quests the grind is both insane and uses advanced operant conditioning on the edge of complete annoyance.  I refer to the Slot Machine model of gaining rare cards.  And most slot rewards are not rare cards.

Playing people is far more fun than playing the AI, though, but ragequits are um frequent.  Especially if you're an old hand at Magic : The Gathering and so develop infuriating card manipulation strategies.

That deck has 15 quantum towers (whatever those are). Does this game have ANY limit on duplicate cards?

But could you say, have a deck consisting entirely of quantum towers if you wanted?

Not sure. I haven't made enough money for that myself. :(

The card limit is 6 of the same card per deck, no limit on towers, max 60 cards per deck, minimum 30.

Right now I have a clone deck and a bunch of healing cards... It's kind of silly. The enemy throws a creature... I clone it and pile up healing on myself.

This game is fun, played it for a while with some friends. I'll check if they updated it with more cards and play again.

The most recent update is Wings, which prevents non-airborne creatures from hurting you for three turns, Pandemonium, which is like Chaos Seed but targets everything on the field(only opponent for upped version) and Steam Machine, a Water creature that can use Fire quanta to temporarily increase its attack.

Ok this is a lot more fun than I expected it to be. I started with a time deck and I've only played 4 games so far, but it's fun.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.
