Turn 2: Gatecrashing!

Note: Turns are ordered by initiative (in the case of a tie, higher AGI score has priority).

Used dice for this turn, but perhaps I should switch to random.org... At least then if the RNG decides to screw with you, you can blame atmospheric noise and not me.  :P

Follow the others, being cautious
Roll for Initiative: 5+6(AGI) = 11

(6) You can barely contain your excitement! You know better than to go running off on your own in a dangerous place like this, though, so you wait for the others to proceed... while yammering incessently at them as a means of release.

float a fire ball above me and advance
Roll for Initiative: 4+5(AGI) = 9

(1-1 (distraction) = 0 (ohshi--)) Despite the noise, you clear your mind; focusing raw elemental energies into your hand, forming a ball of flame to light the wILL YOU SHUT THE HELL UP GODDAMMIT.

(1) The fireball detonates in your hand. (Roll to Dodge: 4,4,5,1,3,6) Fortunately, most of you are able to dive for cover only slightly singed- with the exceptions of Dragnar (who evades the blast completely) Ochita (who is torched (Roll for Damage: 4) thoroughly, but not completely), and Kaitena (who, having absorbed much of the fire energy, seems to have thoroughly enjoyed the experience)

On the bright side, it shut Aline up!

I slip into the shadows and scout ahead.
Roll for Initiative: 3+5(AGI) = 8

(3) Yeah, you get the feeling that it's probably safer in there then it is right here- you split off from the group quickly but discreetly.

(5) While you were somewhat shaken by the sudden explosion, you quickly regain your professional demeanor and move stealthily off towards the wrecked wall, a few meters off to the right of the gate, and scale the rubble with little difficulty. Nothing seems to have noticed you, but you can sense shapes moving in the gloom.

Quote from: Paranatural
AI
Roll for Initiative: 4+4(AGI) = 8

(6) With a sigh, you call upon divine energies to heal Ochita. You might have overdone it a bit though- everyone in the group is not only healed, but practically brimming with vim and vigor.

Tear a strip of cloth from my robe and put on a bolt, set cloth aflame. Fire.
Roll for Initiative: 3+4(AGI) = 7

(6) Fully revitalized, you nonchalantly brush off your near-death experience, tear a strip off of your still-burning sleeve, and wrap it around a crossbow bolt. Infusing it with the power of the wind, you send it streaking over the city like a shooting star, illuminating the area for several seconds.

You notice what appear to be several wooden watchtowers in the city, and shapes move along the wall. It's definitely inhabited by goblins; and if they didn't know you were coming, they do now.

Draw sword and ready a flame bolt. Attack first hostile I see!
Roll for Initiative: 1+4(AGI) = 5

(6) YESSSS

GOBLIN KILLING TIME IS NOW

Before anyone can stop you, you draw your claymore, wreath yourself in flame, and charge headlong towards the gate.

(6+4+1 vs 6+4+1) The goblin sentries crouching in the now-absent shadows of the gate, surprised by the sudden turn of events, barely have time to react before you're upon them. (6 v 1) Your greatsword slices easily though the first goblin's buckler, arm, and neck.

(6) His compatriot, meanwhile, flees in abject terror, screaming at the top of his lungs.

Being as this is the first time I'm trying to run one of these, I'd greatly appreciate feedback! Also, while not required, I wholeheartedly encourage roleplaying- it means I have to encroach on your characters' personalities less (With the exception of RogueArchivist's character- I know him, and I know damn good and well his character is batshit insane)

ED: seriously, what the hell is with all these sixes

Goddamnit, I was at least hoping for some surpise against the goblins, also stay in control of your magic, fool. I use my water magic to push where the shapes were off the wall.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

I travel further ahead and use magic to silence the remaining goblin.(tangible shadows covering his mouth or something)

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Enchanting is usually, if nothing else, a lengthy process.

also what

You're sneaking separate from the group at the moment, so if you can get off the wall and into the shadows of the city before the goblins on the wall notice you, you have the option of avoiding the fight entirely. (and more importantly, you'd probably have to go through the sentries between you and the gate in order to take down the second goblin Kaitena was menacing, since you're a street or two off to the right)

Ah, I thought I was closer than that.

I sneak further into the city, using magic to deepen the shadows I'm hiding in.

Sorry about my absence, I was out of town and thought I'd be able to get online more than I did.

Unable to properly form a hunting pack with these people, I crouch, running along behind the the flaming female cat with the greatsword. When I reach her position, I draw out an axe and react as the situation warrants (If I have enemies around me I fight them off, if rouge is hurt I heal her, etc.

Edit: Fixed

Turn 3: Goblin Marksmanship Academy

This turn is brought to you by random.org: Blame atmospheric noise.

I throw a javelin at a moving shape on the wall after getting in range.
Roll for Initiative: 6+6 = 12

Yup, there's definitely goblins in there. Time to get to work!

You don't know how many goblins are in the city waiting for you, but you did see four archers moving along the wall towards the gate- better take out their fire support first. You bound towards the wall, and loft a javelin at the first goblin on the left section of the wall. (5+6 vs 2+4) It flies straight and true, (Damage: 1) but you only manage to pin his cloak to a crenelation.

I sneak further into the city, using magic to deepen the shadows I'm hiding in.
Roll for Initiative: 5+5 = 10 (tie: 6,6)

From the noise, it sounds like the rest of the group's making their entrance. You've got more important things to do, however; you (5) wrap the shadows around yourself, rendering you invisible, and drop down the far side of the wall, (5) landing completely undetected.

At the intersection ahead, you see three goblin soldiers warily keeping watch for intruders. (4) Off to the right, down an alley, you notice what appears to be an old treasure chest sitting amidst the dust and debris. (5+8 vs 2+5-1) It's innocuous appearance doesn't fool you, though; the chest radiates Sorcerous energy.

Quote from: Goblin Tower Archer 1
Shoot Kaitena
Roll for Initiative: 5+5 = 10 (tie: 6,5)

(1) The goblin sniper in the first watchtower, seeing the commotion near the gate, shouts at his assistant to blow the alarm horn to alert the city. Is his haste, though, the latter bumps into the former, (2) causing his shot to take out the watchtower's lamp instead.

Quote from: Goblin Wall Archer 2
Shoot Aline
Roll for Initiative: 5+4 = 9 (tie: 4)

Seeing his comrade-at-arms pinned to the wall next to him, the second goblin archer on the wall attempts to snap off a shot at Aline, (1, 3) but only succeeds in snapping his crapwork goblin shortbow.

Quote from: Goblin Wall Archer 4
Shoot Kaitena
Roll for Initiative: 5+4 = 9 (tie: 2,6)

(1,1) Off on the other side of the wall, the farthest archer unwisely attempts a long-distance shot at Kaitena; (6+4 vs 6+4) his fellow sentry barely avoids getting nailed by the wayward arrow and shouts back at him in an unsavory manner.

Unable to properly form a hunting pack with these people, I crouch, running along behind the the flaming female cat with the greatsword. When I reach her position, I draw out an axe and react as the situation warrants (If I have enemies around me I fight them off, if rouge is hurt I heal her, etc.
Roll for Initiative: 5+4 = 9 (tie: 2,3)

Quickly, you rush to Kaitena's aid. Seeing an enemy nearby, you whip out one of your axes, and hurl it at the goblin, (5+4 vs 2+4) pegging it (3) in the leg, and dropping it to the ground, before you realize that goblin had actually been fleeing.

Quote from: Gate Goblin
ffffuuuuuuuu
Roll for Initiative: 5+4 = 9 (tie: 2,2)

(2) The axe hit him square in an artery, and he's bleeding out fairly quickly now. Having nothing better to do while bleeding to death, he curls into a ball and starts praying.

(3) It doesn't help much.

Quote from: Goblin Wall Archer 3
Shoot Kaitena
Roll for Initiative: 4+4 = 8

Satisfied with having put his fellow patrolgoblin in place, he draws a bead on Kaitena, (6+4+1 vs 4+4, Damage: 2+1) and catches her in the side. He smiles smugly at the other goblin, who flips him the bird.

enchant scimitars: fire Gatling cannon
Roll for Initiative: 2+5 = 7 (tie: 6,4)

Completely ignoring the battle, you decide that now would be a good time to enchant your swords, so you begin setting up the requisite circles and glyphs using a piece of cave chalk. (6) Surprisingly, you make good progress, and sit in the center of the circle, with the swords in a smaller sigil, where you begin channeling energy.

The glow, however, paints you as an easy target.

Quote from: Goblin Tower Archer 2
Shoot Max
Roll for Initiative: 2+5 = 7 (tie: 6,1)

The sniper in the second tower shares a laugh with his spotter; one of the invaders is actually sitting outside the wall, in the middle of a glowing target! Free kill! His pot-shot (4+4+1 vs 1+5 Damage: 2+1) lands squarely in her shoulder. (5-1) Surprisingly, despite the pain, she manages to hold the spell together.

I use my water magic to push where the shapes were off the wall.
Roll for Initiative: 2+4 = 6 (tie: 6)

(5) You summon a torrent of water to wash goblins 3 and 4 off the wall. (5+7 vs 4+4 and 5+4) They struggle valiantly, but are eventually pushed off, (2, 3) suffering reasonably minor injuries from the fall.

Quote from: Goblin Wall Archer 1
Shoot Ochita
Roll for Initiative: 2+4 = 6 (tie: 4)

Mage! Get him!

(1, 5) The shot goes completely wide.

Seeing as the first one is dead, throw a fire bolt after the seconed one.
Roll for Initiative: 2+4 = 6 (tie: 3)

(4) Hey, he stole your kill!

You light the goblin on fire out of spite. (3) He stops moving.

From the watchtowers, you hear the throaty bellow of horns.

Butt kicking, for goodness!
