Hmm.. I wonder if any news of theese raiders have traveled far?
Or have they recently arrived?

Anyway, diplomats escorted by warriors form wagonslayer village are at the moment on their way to different fiefs,
inorder to see if there are any interest in their skills of "solving" conflicts. (or wagonslaying if that's the case.)
The price for their service is as always negotiable.

Sorry for my lack of turn, been busy.

Notice from FeP Towers S9 and SE10:
  • There was a pretty fireworks show in the distance, as the skies lit up over the Kadzarian Plains.
  • With the lit skies, there was some unusual activity as a small army of troops came from the eastern region, as if from Redship. However, keen sight and intuition tells us that they are not of Lord Rilder's domain, for they have not come from the gates of his fief, nor do they bear the colors, nor legion pattern, of his forces.
  • Just as much, they are a seemingly sizable land-bound force. We are uncertain Lord Rilder, with his mighty flagship, would waste his time on such a force. They could be barbarians.
  • In case they are not from Lord Rilder's fief, I have sent message to Lord Itnetlolor to send a diplomat to Lord Criptfiend of Pereta, and see if he knows of any unusual activity locally and overseas. However, considering the time it will take, it may be too late, and we could only gather what information we can of such unusual behavior. Just in case, we might as well try to help as soon as we can.
  • As of now: Tower LH1bn and LH2se could not distinguish the ownership of any sizable craft in this time of night. However, there may have been some activity. We'll need Lord Rilder to confirm. A messenger has been sent to his domain. We just hope our neighbors aren't up to no good. But like I was thinking earlier; he's got a flagship and a decent naval force. Why'd he waste his time on a land-based army?
Actions:
  • Sent messengers to Pereta and Redship
  • Sent a ready small legion of standby military force for quick-response (a small cavalry team, some archers, a small pikeman team, and some swordsmen, with a small squad of scouts leading the team) to Kadzaria.
  • Prepare medical team for any wounded and returners from the legion. A tiny team of combat medics will follow up with short delay, as to avoid being caught in battle, and to not travel as much in case a battle does not ensue, or it's a false alarm. An escort squad will ride with the caravan.

The local garrison of Crusaders leap into action, some of them escorting the civvies to safety while the rest charge the invaders.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the desert, and with no missives of attack, or any sign of the fireworks over the gigantic mountain range which has yet to be named, Blue-gem oasis keeps doing what it's doing.

So, I unload the ten ships from Crangmoor... when they get here, and send back a message inquiring about the purchase of a few ships, seeing as they have a booming shipyard industry now.

I also send a message to Aklyon requesting a squad of rangers to help train a contingent of my forces in ranged warfare, as well as helping them pick the best equipment. In return, my Sergeant will teach them more about desert warfare, making them more proficient at sneaking around in the desert and stuff. And maybe giving them some snazzy new cloaks!

I also send some orcs to patrol the marker paths to the west and east, as well as sending a construction crew to make the orc shanties be a little more orc camp-ish, making the houses stand up straight more often, and putting in a palistade around the camp.

And lastly, I recruit some locals to make a personal guard, telling them to go train with the various groups in order to become Awesome Fighting Machines, and send another letter to Aklyon, asking if they could be sent to be trained with the rangers in a few turns (years, months?) time.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Does everyone realize that with the banning of the forbidden letter, there's a lot of words that cannot be said?
Examples: Question, you, thou, loud, uprise, quack, Aquizzar (this should be banned from writing too), tub, sub, substitute, luck, duck, fuck, muck, puck, tuck, ruck, uhh, uh, uhhh, uuhh, suck, buck, truck, through, surrender, Feudalism (how ironic), Feudalistic, Feudal, Duke. Along with anything with a "Q" in it, except Aqizzar of course. Oh hey, another banned word.

1. This whole "don't say the forbidden letter" thing was a fun joke, but it's since gone stale and we've moved past it.
2. You totally just got yourself executed like a million times for that post :P

Also, I think the only use for a Royal executioner is going to be if a lord screws up a lot. Makes some big enemies. Gets kicked.

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

"...what the hell possessed ya to put that thing in my bath?"
Archangel sees the camera of narrative is present and draws his sword as he starts menacingly approaching it. "LEAVE NOW!"

I send 3 Rangers to you, with undyed cloaks for you to snazzify. (I know you said squad, but 3 is pretty much enough for anything short of world war)
About the time, If you just want decent archers and scouts, They could train them pretty quick. But if you want them to be anywhere near Ranger levels of marksmanship, that'll take at least a year.

While I would absolutely love to be able to spend eight hours on a turn and do something for every Fief, it's simply not possible. In fact, It'd be super great if you guys started acting cohesively instead of making your fiefs do individual actions.

We've got reinforcements coming to the battle in the form of the Time Knights, and we also have a meteor about to crash down. I feel that is sufficient.

EDIT: See below AHEM.

Also, Aklyon. They may be awesome soldiers already, but I doubt they could pick up Ranger training in a single year, even if only focusing on marksmanship. But anyway, I want them as a personal guard, so a year or maybe more sounds good. When Barbarossa tells us exactly how big turns are, I'll see how many.

(Also, Barbarossa. How long are turns, exactly? I understand that actions such as 'Build gigantic wall of doom seperating the entire continent' might take a little longer than 'send offensive letter to dance dance', so, if you want to do the work, you could put in a turn-time for all of our actions. If you don't, you could just preside, and make sure that people don't try to build rome in a day. With the penalty being Crownoffire getting to actually DO something. If only decide a punishment less than death. Or maybe the death of every second soldier. Or citizen. Or their childr- I digress. How long would a turn be?)
