It depends on the frequency of the GnRH pulses. Anyway, growth hormone doesn't overlap with GnRH either.

For boys it wouldn't be considered normal. The age limit is agreed on 9, IIRC.

PD: Worth pointing out that puberty before the normal age does not necessarily imply an organic cause,  nor does the normal age necessarily mean that there isn't. The point is that GH doesn't trigger puberty, and that those ages are whithin the limits of normality. Thus there is in principle no reason for panic on those particular grounds.

Nobody said there was conclusive evidence. But if there's a reasonable way to avoid potential danger for my child, I'd take it. We believe in a balanced diet, so vegetarian isn't an option, but you don't have to eat meat every day, and Biological meat isn't that expensive.
Cigarettes used to be healthy too.

On GM foods I'm ambivalent. I used to be very pro, but now I'm leaning towards con. Just because we don't know that much about food and how our bodies react to it in the long term, yet.

That's not evidence at all, let alone conclusive, and it doesn't attribute it to hormones in meat. All it shows is that there *might* be a correlation (which again does not imply causation) between meat  consumption(what kinds of meat, while we are at it?) and earlier (but again, well whithin normality) puberty. Nothing else. If you want to panic, suit yourself. I've never said at any point that hormoned beef is good (or bad for that matter), but the claim that *traces* of growth hormone (which doesn't trigger puberty to begin with) have triggered puberty in some girls who are already at the normal puberty age, simply doesn't stand up.

At least one study that's often quoted coped with the problem that to properly determine the age at which girls enter puberty one would have examine the breast by feeling, which the children and parents weren't comfortable with. So instead they made educated guesses by looking at the breast development. Problem with that is that breast growth can also be because of fat buildup and the only real way to find the difference is by feeling. The result was that overweight children seemed to enter puberty earlier. In other metastudies this also got garbled in the statistics, which meant children seemed to enter puberty earlier, while the researchers had actualy measured an earlyer advent of breast growth, which was often not related to puberty.

Body fat does produce sexual hormones, so it's not too far fetched that overweight girls enter puberty earlier. The contrary at least is true: low body fact delays puberty onset, AFAIK.

Problem was that they couldn't detect the difference between fat buildup and the onset of puberty, because the method they used didn't discriminate between the two events. In that case you'll always find a correlation, but the correlation might not mean what you think it means. In this case there was a relation between breast size at a given age, the onset of puberty and the weight of the girls. that last one then again correlates to the date because more young girls become overweight nowadays then ever before. Many then ignored the fact that there were two possible causes for the breast growth, being puberty and fat buildup, and attributed it all to puberty. Et presto, it has been proven that girls enter puberty on a younger age then before (based upon faulty methods, but hey who cares for that?)

I don't like taking medicine, really if my body can do it alone in a week why would i take medicine for it, i'm not in a hurry, and i really don't get those people that take pills for every little problem, mild headache, nausea, gas, anything that can easily be walked off they take pills for it.

As for GM food, i do not like it, i really hate it, only because of the companies, because those bastards are such assholes that i really can't trust them.I have read a book(well not completley but most of it), about GM food and the crap that they did about it.I think it was called Seed of Deception(or something like that) and really the kind of things they did made me sick.If you think your food is safe why don't you allow testing by an idependent organization, if you think it's the same as non-modified food why don't you let people know that their food contains it.So untill these big companies get their act togheter and start acting responsively i refuse to eat their crap.
But the worst thing about this is that my country is so screwed up that really most of the time i have no idea what am i eating, good thing my parents have a small vegetalbe garden

That is very partial.
First he happily forget about previous environmental disaster and lie about new technology (try to find the old propaganda poster about nuclear energy, they are hilarious.).
Overreaction is also triggered by under-reaction to previous menace.
It's hard to trust the current safety regulation after the BP oil spill for instance.

Two it's his job. He is partial. It's not a complete deterrent but it's to keep in mind.

Of course it's only about exaggeration of risk, but it sound suspiciously like a pamphlet against environmentalism.
