There is no literacy in fudalist society! You don't need to read the posts!

Okay, I thought of a less drama-inducing forum project that can come from this thread:

Design your own feudal flag for your fief :]

I will make one soon as an example

You will, of course, need protection. Filthy yeoman poachers all over the place, tryin' to steal your textiles and animals.

Also, you can't call all the forests. Some of them are the preserve of the King!

We cannot have the peons trying to steal the deer of the King! They should be grateful for what they get, the greedy bastards.

I want to be the guy who announces things for the kind in a really pompous voice. Do you have any openings in the department, Aqizzar? I can do a variety of silly accents.
I will be the guy who announces that the announcements are being announced.(or your job if you fall of the balcony or get hit by a crossbow bolt or something)

You have my sword. And my lands, and also my serf-women. And also the noble ones; I care not for their caprices and wanton lust.
And here you have your first celibate moral warrior. Have him found a monastic order beholden to you and you're halfway there!

goddamit people, the pope was  out to banning armies
The Crusades disagrees
Believe it or not, the crusades were the exception, not the rule. The Pope went to great lengths to declare so many holidays (read; holy days) from war, that there were actually only 96 days that you could attack another country per year.

Anyway, I'm gonna work on mah flag.

I call an ocean side fief with the proper land to build a port (&Shipyard)

Also I'd work on a coat of arms but I have no artistic talent for that.

a list of what we feudalistically have so far (without quotes to explain each so this doesn't turn into a ginourmous post) (if i missed something, tell me plz.):
  • King
  • Announcer Guy
  • Announcer Guy's Announcer Guy (me)
  • 1 celibate moral warrior
  • Knights!
  • Crossbows
  • A denial that getting a sword out of yonder lake does not make you King.
  • 1 complaint of repression
  • 1 banned word (g***d)
  • a claim on a nearby lake that may or may not have damned horny sea nymphs
  • a claim on the badlands
  • government style:laizy faire feudalism.
  • 1 complaint that someone didn't vote for the King, even though Kings aren't elected anyway.
  • a claim on the underground
  • a claim on the forests, but not all of them.
  • a claim for a fief-sized coastal area
  • a lack of flags

Hurray for being left-brain dominant and having zero artistic talent! Though it may be a lack of real effort on my part, I've never really tried to draw, so I don't know my real talents. Don't know about the rest of you though.
