Hey, could somebody host this new 0.28.181.39c version of 3Dwarf somewhere else?  My 56k connection can't download from that site for some reason, it gets to 1.09 megs and shuts off.

Bromor, try this file: http://dwarvis.googlecode.com/files/3dwarf_04d_scripts.rar

You'll only need to replace the .pl files of the previous 3Dwarf version. :)

Wow..  I haven't seen anyone with a 56k connection in over 5 years.

Thanks, Mithaldu.

And, yes, I get made fun of online on a daily basis for having a 56k connection.  It's okay, make all the jokes you want, I deserve it for being stuck in medieval days.

I know your pain. I had dialup until just last year. Course, Bellsouth 'FastAccess' isn't too much better.

Two weeks ago, I was stuck in the middle of nowhere with a 28k connection.
It hurt.
They had AOL too.
and Windows 98.

Back on topic, the visualizer is completely awesome.

Damn, where the hell where you? I've been to farms in the middle of the outback with broadband connections...

Anyway, hooray for 3Dwarf!

My family only just acquired broadband in May. We use to be on 56k for $16 a month, however what we have now is not much better, 256k with a 1Gb cap for $30 a month. Stupid Telecom has a monopoly on the lines and is milking us of our money.

So... the ramp system seems to have changed in the update or something.  Here's a couple of bugged ramps:

They are in a pretty complicated area, though.

Well, when I started a fort with a maximum area and several dozen z-levels, it just died on me for obvious reasons.

Nope, you just have to read the latest few pages of the thread.

The ramps have always just been an approximation, unfortunately.  DF is able to generate some ramp situations that I think are just flat out physically impossible... I'm working on a better way to show the ramps though so clipping like this doesn't occur.  If you have an idea for an algorithm to correctly display ramps, I'm all ears :)

Honestly, I'm still confused about how ramps work, but it looks like the first picture should connect on the upper right diagonal...

If there was some way to easily find holes, I'd recommend just sticking in a grass texture plane as a quick&dirty fix.

Yay for sinoth and 3Dwarf!  I immediately started making 3D maps out of everything in sight! :D
