Teta wins.  There is no point in playing anymore.

Make the cast of each layer of the pyramid larger than necessary, and carve out the excess.
Code: [Select]

.X##########X.
.X##########X.
WWWWWWWWWWWWWW

. = Open space
# = Obsidian
! = Obsidian square to be dug out
X = Constructed cast to be removed
W = Dirt/soil/sand

If I not already posted this: I really love 3Dwarf. Many thanks to everybody working on it.

For compensation some alternative human city design:

Also, http://mkv25.net/dfma/map-6018-filledtattoo. Some more random images included in some POIs, IIRC.
Awesome :D

But those tiny little trees really need a better model. Or a set of models. They should span 3-4 Z levels. Right now, they look like shrubs.

Woo, just noticed the update for 40d9 and similar versions.

I'm working on a project that's not quite as awesome as teta's but I'm certain it's a fair bit taller.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Does Dwarf 3D Visualizer work with the may day versions ?

I was unable to use it... well english is not my mother language, it don't help. When i tried to launch map_extract.bat it say something like "path not found" (not really sure of the translation).

What update? Where is it? I'm trying to get 3Dwarf to work with the Mayday version and Mike Mayday told me in an email that 3Dwarf doesn't work with 40d11 which DFG is based on.

*glances at Teta*

That was the single most awesome thing I have ever seen.

That was a concentration of pure awesome which you could put into a vial and sell to the elves

Why would we do that. It would just turn them into humans. Then it would be harder to justify their wholesale slaughter.

I don't know about anything official but I got it working on d11 using some memory offset information from other utilities and posted the changes earlier in this thread:

Still not working for me - get error when running 3Dwarf "version could not be properly identified
map_extract.pl at line 412
main:refresh_datastore<> called at map_extract.pl line 34

Have run the patch and updated files as per scarpa's post, but still unable to run. Any suggestions?
