Very cool... that "pit" near the bottom at the base of your fort... is that a magma vent?  It's blocked by the third bridge support.  At least, it looks like there could be a pit with a tower next to it.  Love it though... looks very awesome.

Err, yes. Sorry, I linked the same picture twice, didn't?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/aStaleFart/BridgeShotIn3dtwo.png here is the real shrunk shot, and you can see that it is a magma vent with a magma pump tower on the side of it.

I'll be happy to take 3D pictures of your fortress(es).  Only, what version are you using?  I'm using 40d, if it's a different version than that, I don't think it would work.

If you are using 40d, send me your region folders, and I'll take pictures and post them in this topic by tomorrow.

Not a good idea.
Not all email services allow attachments the size of a rar'd/zipped DF world.
In fact, of the many that I know, most don't.
Upload it somewhere.
Filefront, Medafire, et cetera

I don't have an IM service, but my email address is in my profile and I enabled Bay12 posters sending me stuff just for this.  Also, according to gmail's attachments help page, it can handle attachments up to 20MB, and my DF saves are around 6MB in size, so it shouldn't be a problem as long as you send each region folder in a different email.

Just make ABSOLUTELY sure that you are using 40d, not one of the earlier or later versions that my copy of 3Dwarf doesn't work with.

Okay, as it turns out, having a "world.sav" file in the data\save folder works exactly as having a region folder in the same place.  So even though I don't know how to MAKE a world.sav file, I can still use it to take pictures, as we see here.  This is an overhead view of the first one:

And here's an angled view, showing a little more of the wall and gate detail.

Here's a view from the east side of the second fortress.

And here's a view from the south-southeast side.

I hope that these were something like what you were looking for.  Strangely, your fortresses with eighty or a hundred dwarves gets comparable framerates to my fortresses when they have 35 dwarves.

So THATS what that old fortress looks like :D

The bottom one, the kinda helter skelter fortress, THATS my first! I started that one before I knew how to do up and down stairs, I did that one before I knew there was more then one level! The one odd thing is I always images the mountain behind it as being Much larger!

EDIT: Update of the towers construction:

I'd like pics from the front of the tower, the top down at an angle, and from the entrance to the fortress

Front:

Top Down:

Entrance:

This was the right one, right?  I've got, like, FIVE of your fortresses now, but they're all named "world.sav" so it's possible I took pictures of the WRONG megaproject tower.

No you got it right, Must say its looking quite lovely :D Problem is now the FPS is starting to really get slow, its hard to Work on it these days because the dwarfs move at a snails crawl.. Ive tried a few things, but I think having a Mac is making them not work.

If you just wanna build, give your dwarves [SPEED:1] or something.
