Hey Kennel, share your txt.gz model so that we can see your statue in 3d.

That goes for everyone else, someone should make a thread to share the txt.gz (the generated model files). Those files are typically small.

That is a succession game so most of the fortress isn't designed by me. Currently full of starving and insane dwarves. Bodies and miasma everywhere. So one could say that it is a very traditional dwarven fortress.

Perhaps next project could be dwarven version of Mount Rushmore or something similar.  :)

Amazing work. Now I can finally tell if my moat is really as impressive as I always thought. Also, please add another vote for optionally visible "fun stuff".
I would also love to see a mode that allows me to explore the fortress "on foot" (blocked by walls, maybe with keys to change the camera's height in steps of one level)

I disagree, ! Its still a massive construction. Put a dragon in one of those tiles and a minature sized dwarf next to it... then tell me it isn't huge.

I don't quite see the throne and the dwarf in the statue... but I appreciate the scale of thing!

three things:
1:Awesomely great fabulous!
2:Is this fully compatible with 33f? I have a 7x7 map with 33f and a dual-core 2 gig laptop, and map loading will get stuck at about halfway through loading the second bar, then progress very slowly, and take about 5 min to fill the bottom bar, then freezes when it's done. It goes up to more than a gig of ram before I shut it down. Prepackaged maps work great, though.
3:Can it be "really quit?" box tiem nowz, plz?

PTTG?, please zip up your region file and send it to both sinoth at gmail.com and mithaldu at yahoo.de so we can have a look. the whole thing should be fully compatible with 33f.

also, since sinoth is such a nice guy and way too shy to ask:

PLEASE SEND SINOTH YOUR REGION FILES TO [ sinoth at gmail.com ], SO HE CAN FIX MISSING TILES!

Another vote for leaving them hidden with an option to display them.

This looks mindblowingly awesome, but I can't get it to work.

Running map-extract.bat from the first folder gives:

code:

syntax error at map_extract.pl line 89, near "$dwarf_process->SetPriorityClass
bin\perl map_extract.pl" on the first line, and ends with "filepath\prog>pause" after the last line.

DF is running, it's paused at the escape screen, and I haven't touched any of the files it comes with.  I don't know what the problem is.  I use Jaquie_Fox's tileset, but it doesn't look like tilesets have been causing anyone else problems.

Here; I have several simple mods, so it would probably be simplest to send you the whole file. You can download it from my server:
33f save PTTG
It seemed to me that it was just a really big level, but maybe you can make it work? Good luck!
