Unfornuchately, no. That feature is planned for the JESUS H. TAPDANCING MUHAMMED MY HEAD JUST EXPLODED THIS IS SO AWESOME SO HOW AM I SAYING THIS Edition.

EDIT: on another note, I can't get this to work with version 38b. It seems to be telling me that it can't detect that I have a map loaded.

map_extract doesn't have the numbers for v0.27.176.38b, but it turns out that that's exactly what the Mike Mayday edition is using. So the magic numbers are:

code:
    {
       version => "v0.27.176.38b",
       PE => 0x47C12F36,
       map_loc => 0x014A50A4,
       x_count => 0x014A50BC,
       y_count => 0x014A50C0,
       z_count => 0x014A50C4,
      pe_timestamp_offset => 0x00400100
   },

as I originally posted (except with the right version number this time  :o)

The solid green glass pyramid of my current fort. After my first mayor demanded adamantine items, I decided to show my fellow dwarfs what a reasonable request is:
Build an upside-down pyramid in the middle of nowhere.

Say. Could you build a support block, remove the blocks holding the pyramid up and built a support in their place, link it to to a lever, remove the support block and have the best trap of all time?

THAT is true Dwarvish Technology. You attack our fort, we drop a <deleted> PYRAMID on you.

Even better. Put wild tigers in cages at the top, to clean up the survivors. =)

Sylverone, I'm gonna hazard a guess and say the path you have the tools in is too deep.  Try moving DF to c:\df or something short like that and running the tools from there.

I was afraid of that... let's see...

Yeah, that appears to have been the problem. It looks like I'll have to temporarily move DF when I want to view a fortress, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem, considering that I won't be producing any giant monstrosities until I'm better at playing.

Handy tool! I just zoomed around a little bit inside my one-year-old fortress.

This tool is the best thing since the z-axis.
On the surface, the usefulness is that it allows one to get a good sketch of what their fortress looks like. Not to say that that's a little thing - tis huge - but that's not the best part of it.

This tool could be the thing to convince Toady to, if nothing else, provide support for a tool like this. The path that could take is incredible.

The next thing I wait for is display of buildings. Bridges, especially.
Oh, and more/better textures. Green glass shouldn't show as rock and a wall made of constructions and smoothed natural rock should have the same texture for both.

while nowhere near as impressive as any of the forts in here, i absolutely love this visualizer and appreciate it greatly and thought i would share my most recent creation, the visualizer really helped me understand the construction of it and then thoroughly enjoy it in a way i couldn't have without it, so mad props to you sinoth, <3

I notice that gem windows don't show up.  Is this a bug, or just not implemented?
