Yes, that was the intent.  The scale doesn't quite match up with what you'd see in the movie, but I can live with that.  I'll eventually do a full write-up on the construction.  It took until winter 1062.

You should take an adventure party in there and climb to the top and then back out...and then write it up and post it on here!

Thus ends the official written history of the fortress known as Boatmurdered. May their tortured souls rest in peace.

Bug report: Smoothed Ice doesn't show up at all in the same way that goblin towers don't.  Also, constructed Ice walls and floors look just like rock walls and floors.

Heh. Funny. Look at this, I know there is more impressive stuff but...here's a small pyramid. The outside ramps(built above the "walls")are actually made of the same material as the inside, that is, FLINT, but they show as wood in the viewer...

Edit: of course, there's a Burial Chamber inside, but not a particularly precious one :-)

Heh. Before this came out, I was using ramps for cabin rooftops. Wonder how they'd look now...

without the save file and some pointers at what exactly to look, sinoth won't be able to do much.  ;)

Ehm, just build a test fort on the ice? I had this problem whit my fort to.

Edit: BTW have anyone tested if this works in adventurer mode? If not would it be worth making it so?

Hey there people, started playing this about a month ago when it came in a magazine I get. Great game here Toady, anyway.

@Sinoth: There's probably an obvious answer to this question but where do I put the files for 3Dwarf exactly, or does it auto detect the folder? Also, does this work with version .38a?

I get:
Processing map data.
Loading map data.
Use of uninitialized valu in array element at map_extract.pl line 137. Map dataa not yet available. Make sure you have the game loaded. at map_extract.pl line 138
    main::loadmap() called at map_extract.pl line 120

Is something the matteer or has this just not been updated to the latest version of DF..?

You should make an artificial lake or something, and then flood it... like what happens in LOTR  :)

I just downloaded 3dwarf the other day, imported my map and whatnot ok, but it is INCREDIBLY slow. Do other people get that? I would have thought my system would handle it reasonably (Athlon xp 3000+, radeon 9700 pro, 1gb ram) but it's a slideshow when I want to look around.
