A Boatmurdered animation would be awesome to see. Boatmurdered was what actually got me started into Dwarf Fortress in the first place.
Wonder what the doomsday lever will look like...

The doomsday lever would look like any other.  It would be surrounded by the various levers needed in the day to day life of the fortress, such as irrigation or raising the main drawbridge or operating the noble shower chamber.  None of the levers would be labeled.

Okay, here's how you could implement:
Wall every dwarf in their own bedroom, and a bridge must be opened to let them out (opens from the outside so they can't deconstruct it). The lever is in their bedroom. But one lever, or half the levers if you prefer, destroy the support holding up the entire fortress.
Pass the save to the next leader with these instructions.

the support holding up the entire fortress.
Entire fortress fit on a single level in a 13x13 square? that's mad.

Eh? It wouldn't be a single level, it's just that the first level would have nothing but a support, and when broken the whole fortress would be unsupported and come crashing down.

I mean that Boatmurdered was done in version 23a where there was a single level and a cave-in on any unsupported 7x7 square.

Oh. I wasn't talking about Boatmurdered, I was just musing on how to implement this...

We have finished our animatic now, spent ages refining it so it should hopefully read well.
Now we are onto the gritty part of actually animating the dang thing!
Here are some backgrounds.

Those are some seriously tasty backgrounds. I don't think I've ever been so excited for an upcoming animation! I'll definitely be showing all of my DF nerd friends. :D

Would you mind if I took the first concept batch, removed the two dwarves on the top right, and blew it up into a wallpaper? Because that dwarf facing the elephant is amazing.

EDIT: done, quick and dirty shop.
