Hey guys. I'm Tom, the other guy working on the animation. Here's a wallpaper of one of the scenes in high quality. A high quality version of the image can be found at http://scribblepit.deviantart.com. Work on the animation is going steady. Thanks for all the support!

WOW and EPIC come to mind. Also, that has become my current background.

Same. Damn, you really know how to make elephants look badass. :P This scene better be epic.

I fully support this project.

We don't have many Dwarf Fortress Animations, and I think anyone making one is awesome. :3

Have a look at a Morul animation. Morul was a Dwarf who was legendary in all doable 71 skills in 40d.

Hey guys. Thanks for the great support! Keeps us excited too.
SO we have almost finished all our backgrounds... haha it's been a bit of a tedious hump to get over, but it's like saving the best bit of a meal last. Now we can start getting our dwarf on. It's hard to show many screen caps now as we don't want to give too much away and they are mainly empty rooms. I'm going to be on holidays for a week so this is going to push our schedule back. Haha you can tell we thought too highly of our animating speed as we initial were like "duuur sure we can do it in a week or 2." Good learning experience I guess.

Here is one of the few classic Boatmurdered images (not created by us!) that has helped inspire us and get the mood. We will definitely be paying homage to this classic masterpiece. Our art direction is far more cartoony though.

Also remember that all production detail is in my blogarogrog http://simoncottee.blogspot.com/

This will be epic. Your artwork is amazing.

Realize, though, that if the phrase "Welcome to fucking Boatmurdered, Hope you like Miasma" never appears, there will be blood.

I'm currently making a nice room for my legendary clerk. I always treat my legendaries with the greatest respect, giving them the best rooms and so on. Although the walls are mostly engraved with pictures of my miner starving to death after he fell down a well, so it's not too cheerful.

Are you kidding? This is Boatmurdered! There will be blood no mater what! The difference is exactly who's blood it is...

Don't forget the dwarf with two swords walking away from the fort, and the child in the pile of bones.

Haha you will all have to see what we have in there. Obviously it's very distilled down to it's core. It basically runs for around 2:40 seconds now. We had to keep editing and extending parts of the song to be able to fit all the story in. There is going to be no text and no dialogue in the actual animation. Completely visual (which is real hard! Hopefully we achieved some degree of it).
