Turn 26: Preparing For Genocide

Nirur attempts to destroy the wretched crystal entity. [4] vs [3] He succeeds in damaging it, but it's far too large and powerful to simply smite. Avatar [3] vs [4] His attempts to smite the treacherous avatar also fail, as the wily elf dodges his clumsy death ray.

Empower the One Space Fish to Rule Them All with the ability to take the power of entities it consumes.

Cheeetar attempts to empower the Space Fish. [2] He can't get it to properly acquire the powers of its meals, however.

I throw a small colony of shadow bugs onto the Ukulele moon.

HmH attempts to colonize the ukulele moon. [6] A few too many shadow bugs make it, quickly scouring the area for things to fashion into death engines.

If Vraccas' child is willing to help, hear what the dwarf wants in return, and continue designing the soul with the dwarf's help. Otherwise work in solitude.

The Karante attempts to recruit the Child of Vraccas. [1] It turns hostile and begins resolutely foiling The Karante's attempts to work in Vraccas' workshop. The Karante attempts to work anyway. [5], Interference [4] The Karante nearly makes excellent progress on the soul, but the dwarf hides several tools, foiling most of his work.

Hozac attempts to increase Hozling fertility. [5] He breathes life back into the Hozlings' eggs, and their numbers begin swelling again.
Hozling fertility rate greatly improved.

Improve the bomb!

Alex attempts to work on his genocide device. [5] Ahhhh, much better! The range still isn't anywhere near where it needs to be, but he's left with a sinister obelisk in space, that when activated should wipe out all Hozlings in an admittedly small area.

Yei'astol once again tries to improve the dark elf's weak form. [5] It grows sinister claws, and its body elongates into an emaciated, extremely long-limbed four-legged form. It now looks like some sort of wingless bat-demon.

Fix the void pools

Ochita attempts to fix the void pools. [4] They're still a little unstable, but they now go where they're supposed to rather than horribly warping whatever enters.

Teleport other sentient creatures onto the shadow moon

Bob attempts to transport sentient creatures onto the shadow planet. [5] Small packs of wolfmen, dwarves, and non-pet elves are transported to the shadow planet, where they'll hopefully savagely murder everything around them.
More races added to shadow planet.


I feel bad about lying to you some more, but entity actions later.

I'll probably just consolidate some more stuff, like rolling all the new minitribes on the shadow planet into "The tribes battle it out" or something. Also considered having all Hozlings or elves or whatever in the universe use the same rolls.

Say, here's a thought:

What if every planet had a small set of qualities, and I rolled for each quality?

So for instance, let's say a planet had War, Famine, Death, and Pestilence as its qualities. If I roll high for Pestilence, there's probably a lot of plagues and most creatures' civilizations diminish. If I roll high for War, presumably similar; but particularly warlike races might flourish during this time, since they're out doing what they love. Similarly, if there's a lot of vampires around they might do well for high Death rolls, but healers or vampire hunters might flourish for a low Death roll, just like warlike races might not do so well for low War rolls.

Presumably the qualities would be determined by whoever controlled the planet, and would probably be mutable similar to domains. Outside events might add or remove a quality against the planet's creator's wishes, and who "controlled" the planet would probably just mean whoever had a demonstrable stake in it. Knight Otu and Nirur Torir are both invested in Karus, for instance.
