Turn 19: The Elves Make Progress
BRING HAG ELVES INTO MY GLORIOUS REPUBLIC.
Bob attempts to bring the hag elves into his republic. [1] They organize their OWN republic to counteract his! Organization [1] Unfortunately they don't really know what a republic is, so it's basically just a bunch of thugs beating up the weaker members but they claim it's a republic.
Hag elves organized into "republic," otherwise known as thuggish autocracy.Create veins of Hozzarium under the kingdom of Hozlings, then try to add it under Hemisphere Temple and Karus.
Hozac attempts to create Hozzarium. [5] He does so. Strength [3], Malleability [5], Appearance [3], Conductivity [2], Edges [6]. Veins [3]. Limited veins of a decently attractive, somewhat weak metal streak underneath the Hozlings. It's a beautifully malleable metal, however, flexible enough to easily work into fine shapes but sturdy enough to hold those shapes. It also has the bizarre property of becoming harder and stronger when exposed to stress, meaning simply using a tool made of it tends to make the tool better.
Limited Hozzarium veins added under Hozlings. Hozzarium is extremely malleable, decently attractive, and a bit weak, but strengthens in response to stress.Vraccas attempts to correct the flaws in his design and continues working!
Vraccas attempts to finish his design. [2] He fails to correct the problem, and with a gruff sigh, vanishes from the universe.
Vraccas disappears from universe.Remove the dark elf from the universe, destroying the memories of the elves about it. (Essentally- make it not exist.)
Ochita attempts to remove every last trace of existence he can from the dark elf. [1] He grants it void magic.
Dark elf granted void magic.I change the big fish so its mutation is much more sudden and directed towards protecting it from any danger that is nearby.
Cheeetar attempts to redirect the big fish's mutations to a defense mechanism. [2] He can't really get it to mutate on a whim like that. Mutate [4] He manages to mutate defensive plates onto it, at least.
Giant fish granted armored scales.Rejuvinate the white beasts and give them protection from divine wrath
Yei'astol attempts to rejuvenate the white beasts. [5] She invigorates the ones that survived, and even revives a few that seemed dead. Protection [3] She makes them a little more resistant to divine wrath, but it's a light defense.
Most white beasts on ukulele rejuvenated, granted minor protection from divinity.I teach bugs how to build towers and tell them why it's better to live inside.
HmH attempts to teach his bugs how to build towers. [4] They grasp the ideas well enough. Inside Living [3] He manages to convince them it's sort of better inside, but they're not very enthusiastic about it.
Bugs granted knowledge of tower-building, mild desire to live inside.The Karante gathers a few more bits of shadow from across the universe.
The Karante attempts to gather shadow from the universe. [6] It gathers a large amount of writhing shadows.
I shall bring my civilization advanced weaponry.
Nirur attempts to teach his civilization about advanced weapons. [3] They have no real metal or forging techniques, but they understand the basics of pointy sticks and blunt objects. Reaction [6] They promptly arm themselves, trying to ensure anyone is capable of killing that damned liquid elf on sight.
Aquatic elves granted crude weapons.Fine, meteorite shower it is.
Alex attempts to wipe out the Hozlings. [6] He succeeds in conjuring a massive swarm of meteorites. Power [4], Accuracy [4], Penetration [3]. Elves [3], Fish [3]. The landscape is torn asunder by Alex's divine wrath, and when the dust settles the Hozlings have been reduced in number, and most of their surface decorations have been obliterated. The elves and fish are mostly unharmed, though both groups notice the shower.

Agamemnon attempts to improve the dwarves' living conditions. [1] They react to his instructions on how to build a coliseum by making a giant bowl and filling it with "alcohol" from the Boozemaster. Common Sense [3] They manage to not blow it up yet, but they're pretty lax on the no fire near it policy. Slave Pens [4] They at least grasp his instructions on the pens to hold gladiatorial contestants, and the elves are stuffed into crystal cages.

The Hozlings attempt to thrive. [4] They do well, working their way back up to a solidly medium-sized kingdom. Bunkers [3] They make a bit of progress carving deeper underground, but their hearts aren't really into it.
Let's get out of here!
The meteorite shower is oddly beautiful, but it reminds the elves they don't want to be here. Timing [4] Not long after, the alignment is correct, and they hop in. They're promptly launched to Karus.

The fish attempt to thrive. [1] They go into another mutation spasm, eating each other a bit too much.

The white beasts continue hunting. [1] They run into something too large to handle, and most are now soaked and resting.

The space fish attempt to thrive. [5] They expand, covering about an eighth of the planet's atmosphere in a loose layer. Mutation [2] Nothing useful emerges.
Progress!
The elves attempt to thrive. [1] Their rigid and angry society isn't very conducive to love and families. Weapon Fighting [3] They make mild progress in using their weapons, but it's mostly learning to get angry first.
Teehee!
The liquid elf experiments more with its powers. [6] It cackles maniacally as it's able to take whatever form it wishes, attracting the attention of an herbivore and letting the aquatic elves hear faint laughter. Shapechange [3] It manages to turn into a vague approximation of the herbivore in question. Reaction [2] This particular herbivore is a territorial, solitary type, and it charges. [1] vs [6] The liquid elf utterly trounces the real thing, claiming this spot of grazing territory for its own. Er, yay?

The white beasts hunt the locals. [1] They're not used to packs that large.

The herbivores attempt to thrive. [2] They don't do particularly well.

The plants attempt to thrive. [5] They spring to full growth, becoming an almost perfect biosphere.

The bugs attempt to thrive. [6] They multiply rapidly, becoming a bit creepy.

The dwarves attempt to thrive. [1] They suffer various incidents. Progress [6] They begin coming up with all sorts of bizarre inventions, mostly by sticking various tools together.

The claw dwarves attempt to thrive. [1] They're pretty sick. Integrate [3] They manage to live with the normal dwarves, but they're pretty noticeably different. Interbreeding [3] They succeed in hitting on some normal dwarves, but that could be because they're drunk.

The elves attempt to thrive. [1] They get sick, probably because there's nothing to eat. Trees [2] They're too sick to reach the massive grove.
Don't kill us!
The captured elves attempt to convince their captors to be nice. [6] The dwarves are utterly convinced by the elves, and promptly turn them into pets. Not exactly what they had in mind, but...

The wolf men attempt to hunt. [5] They manage to finally catch ample food, and the tribe expands a little bit. Tools [2] They fail to make any progress in other areas.

The remaining fish attempt to thrive. [6] Once again they manage to produce large amounts of eggs without being fully able to breath or move. Mutation [3] More minor adaptations occur, like slightly stronger fins.

The white beasts hunt. [1] They get a bit injured trying to take down an immobile but dangerous fish.

The elves attempt to thrive. [3] They do alright. Help [1] They just get in the way of the white beasts.

The elves attempt to thrive. [2] They're too busy with magic. Magic [5] They manage to master much more of both necromancy and healing.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
The dark elf uses its new magic to cow the elves. [6] It cows them a little too well, devouring a few with void magic. Reaction [2] The elves are none too pleased at this. Meatshields [5] He manages to convince a few to guard him with their lives regardless.

The lizards attempt to thrive. [1] Their large flock is too much for the available food.

The plants attempt to thrive. [5] They spread out much further, occupying around an eighth of the planet's surface.

The bugs attempt to thrive. [3] They do alright. Towers [3] They make a bit of work towards towers, but quickly get distracted by death machines.

The popcorn trees attempt to thrive. [2] They stagnate, possibly because of that fountain of black goo.

The glowing grass attempts to thrive. [2] It stagnates as well.

The shadow spiders continue to annoy the bugs. [1] They succeed in teaching them a new trick- how to grab shadows. Eep.

The hag elves attempt to thrive. [2] They stagnate. Republic [5] They masterfully organize themselves based on who can beat the stuffing out of who.

The beast worms attempt to escape the tunnels. [2] They fail, and are ashamed.

The warrior worms attempt to tunnel into the ukulele. [2] They fail, as their arms were made for reaping, not digging. Climb [4] They at least slither back onto the surface.
Roar!
Revitalized, the white beasts attempt to hunt. [1] They go hungry again.
EDIT: The Hozlings were partially aboveground before; now they're almost entirely hiding underground.
