Turn 14: Edible Bugs And Atrocity Worlds
I make a rapidly growing and mutating vine that lies on the ground and place it on Karus.
Cheeetar attempts to create a rapidly growing, rapidly mutating ground vine on Karus. [2] Karus remains vineless.
Just make it rain until the Hoz-tar elves are OK.
Alex attempts to create rain on Hoz-Tar. [4] A steady rain results over the elves, who quench their thirst.
Vraccas continues to improve the dwarven body, working now on its mind and instilling the virtues of dwarven society.
Vraccas attempts to forge the body further, encouraging dwarven values. [1] The resulting creature would be overpowered by greed and lack any desire to toil for the sake of hard work, though the soul would have a large impact on both qualities. Mind [5] The mind, while also heavily affected by the inhabiting soul, is magnificently created, able to hold the intelligence necessary for artistic crafts and complex machinery. Imagination [2] It would be no more imaginative than normal, however.
(2/5)Continue the Grand Design of Karus.
The Karante attempts to create decomposers on Karus. [5] A staggering array of worms, bugs, and fungi are laden into the myriad soils, each specialized to break down different materials in different conditions.
Various decomposers added to Karus soil.Teach Hozlings about mathematics and architecture, as well as about how to forge tools and weapons. They will need them.
Hozac attempts to teach the Hozlings about mathematics. [3] They grasp the basics, but more advanced concepts are beyond them. Architecture [3] Similarly, they understand the basic principles of architecture, but only grasp the basics. Forging [1] Due to a forging accident that injures several, they are left very wary of attempting to forge metals anymore.
Hozlings gain rudimentary understanding of mathematics and architecture. Rendered wary of forging. If Yei'astol doesn't try to kill my creatures anymore, I create and plant various fungi onto, uh, new soil of shadow planet.
HmH attempts to create fungi on the shadow planet. [2] His attempts bubble up as black goo before popping and leaving a slimy mess.
Stop what im doing, apply Flying beasts to crystal planet
Yei'astol attempts to create flying beasts on the crystal planet. [4] The results look like dog-sized lizards with wings, and several of them take roost in one of the crystal planet's impressive formations. Crystal [6] They eat the crystals to gain strength, to the point where older specimens have glowing light purple eyes and can fire similarly colored lightning from their mouths.
Flying lizards added to crystal planet. Sometimes shoot lasers.-.- Do it again.
Agamemnon attempts to create his workshop once more. [4] He finally succeeds, creating an impressive workshop in a perfect location. However, most of the best materials were wasted in his previous attempts.
Workshop of the gods added to Agamemnoid.Make a planet that looks like the top half isn't there is rounded bottom, flat top (1/?)
Ochita attempts to create a hemispherical celestial body. [1] Taking a cue from Agamemnon, the resulting atrocity has a small flat base, narrowing inwards before expanding out into numerous tendrils that droop downwards. It could very well be a potted plant of some sort.
Modern art planet created.I create underwater plants that are very tasty and nutritious for my Aquatic Elves.
Nirur attempts to create aquatic plants in the ring lake. [6] Plant
s? Well, its interconnected root system has numerous fronds reaching up, at least. Nutrition [3] It's alright for nutrition, but it's not what you'd want to eat, given the choice. Taste [2] Ugh, it's
really not what you'd want to eat, given the choice.
Terrible-tasting, mildly nutritious superplant added to ring lake.Entities:Dig?
The Hozlings attempt to thrive. [6] Their population explodes, and they could now fill a city if they had one. Digging [5] They carve out masterful burrows to live in, getting lots of tasty rock on the way.
Thrive!
The fish attempt to thrive. [4] They do well. Mutate [5] They achieve several forms somewhere between a shark and a guppy, having the size and strength of the former and elaborate fins of the latter.
Thrive?
The elves attempt to survive. [4] They do as well as can be expected. Progress [5] They do an excellent job of mapping out the chasm they live in and carving shelters from softer rocks.
Thrive!
The beasts attempt to thrive. [5] The pack grows to the point where it splits into three, each with two or three adults and a gaggle of puppies.
Thrive!
The space fish attempt to thrive. [4] They do fairly well, still mostly in Hoz-Tar's upper atmosphere, eating each other. Mutate [1] A few mutate themselves out of orbit, however.
Thrive!
The aquatic elves attempt to thrive. [5] They split into two clans, each friendly and in constant contact with the other, but with nearly a dozen members each. Progress [4] They manage to carve out some underwater shelves to store anything worth storing, and discover that mudworms taste infinitely better than that kelp stuff.
Hunt?
The beasts look for something to eat. [5] They find a wealth of bugs in the soil, and happily dig and eat things to their hearts' content.
Thrive!
The trees attempt to thrive. [2] They do not.
Thrive!
The shrubberies attempt to thrive. [3] They spread a little further, but their seeds can't make it over the rivers.
Thrive!
The various decomposers attempt to thrive. They multiply a bit too fast for things with nothing to eat yet, but at least there's plenty for others to eat now.
Build!
The dwarves attempt to thrive. [3] They do alright, but they're not eating much. Build [6] They go a bit nuts on their first attempt to construct buildings, resulting in the foundation for something that probably won't have any reasonable purpose and certainly wouldn't be done anytime soon. It's still better shelter than they had, however.
Progress!
The claw dwarves attempt to thrive. [1] They feel woozy from not eating enough. Progress [3] They add some suggestions to the normal dwarves' building, but otherwise don't accomplish much.
Food!
The initial tribe of elves attempts to thrive. [3] They're coughing a bit, probably from eating nothing but muck. Progress [6] They get a bit enthusiastic with those crystal shivs. At least they can hunt now, if they find anything to hunt.
Thrive?
The elves from space attempt to thrive. [5] They take like fish to water, quickly forming a tiny clan of muck-fed elves. Healing [3] They're feeling better, but not quite at full strength from their dramatic entrance yet.
Thrive!
The herbivores attempt to thrive. [1] They run into a lot of carnivores.
Hunt!
The puppythings attempt to hunt. [1] They can't find anything, and get lost.
Hunt!
The beastmen attempt to hunt. [5] After numerous and injuring failures, a herd of herbivores runs straight into them, and are slaughtered for a victory feast. The pack expands nearly large enough to split into two.
Hunt!
The white beasts attempt to hunt. [2] They can't find anything, possibly because the beast-men already ate it.
Thrive!
The trees attempt to thrive. [6] They once again burst into action, becoming bizarrely large. Seeds scatter out as well.
Hunt!
The beasts attempt to hunt. [2] They're a bit puzzled by the dying fish, and don't really consider them food.
Yaaaaay!
The elves attempt to help their new pack. [4] They succeed in hacking up some dying fish and eating it. Integrate [6] They manage to firmly cement their status as pups, to the point where the adults insist they suckle with the puppies and the puppies insist they play gnaw-on-each-other.
Don't die!
The fish try to not perish. [5] At long last, they manage to start moving around and not suffocating so much. Mutate [1] Somehow several of them mutate to become immobile and fat.
Thrive!
The elves attempt to thrive. [4] They succeed, growing a bit. Magic [2] They're frustrated with their inability to properly grasp more advanced magic, however.
Freeeeee!
The dark elf attempts to escape its massive prison. [6] It manages to squirm through an elaborate series of passages, missing the rather large and unguarded doorway. At least it's out now.
Thrive!
The crystal plants attempt to thrive. [3] They do alright, not spreading very much.
Thrive!
The elf mangroves attempt to thrive. [4] They do well, with several more seedlings appearing nearby.
Thrive!
The lizards attempt to thrive. [5] Their aerial mobility allows them to find and gnaw on both the elf mangroves and, more frequently, scarf down delicious crystal fruit. They discover they can glide long distances rather easily, and begin laying eggs in several convenient crystal formations.
Thrive!
The bugs attempt to thrive. [2] Back to being a little under the weather. Progress [2] Nope, no work getting done on a sick day.
Thrive!
The popcorn trees attempt to thrive. [6] They're now everywhere.
Thrive!
The hag elves attempt to thrive. [6] Apparently
they think they're incredibly sexy, and several more of them join their tunnel-crawling ranks. Progress [4] They succeed in carving out several functional rooms from the radish.
...stuff?
The worms attempt to thrive. [3] They do moderately well, snacking on radish and generally lounging around. Progress [3] They manage to come up with several theories about what to do now, but not much gets done.
Hunt?
The beasts attempt to find food. [3] They know there's food down those warrens, but they can't fit, and don't want the puppies going in there alone.
Grow!
The radish attempts to regenerate damage. [5] It manages to seal many of the passageways inside it, trapping the elves in tiny rooms. Roots [4] It's roots grab a firmer hold of the ukulele, and dip into the water-filled hollow a bit.
