Turn 6: Powder Moon and Up Is Down
I create clusters of food deep within the oceans of Hoz-tar, encouraging the stronger fish to live at lower depths to survive the impact of the moon.
Cheeetar attempts to create delicious goodies deep beneath the surface. [6] The results are rather excessive, with food covering nearly the entire bottom of the ocean. Fish Reaction [2] The fish mostly don't take notice, perhaps not knowing it's down there. Fish Mutation [6] Somehow this triggers a mutation in some of them nonetheless, resulting in a few rather large, whale-like creatures with scooping mouths feasting down there.
Whale-like bottom feeders mutated from fish.I do it again just in case it didn't work the first time.
Cheeetar attempts to add yet more food. [3] The amounts added are fairly paltry. Fish Reaction [2] Again, they seem to take no notice. Fish Mutation [4] Some of the fish begin mutating anyway, becoming more suited for the depths even though they're not going down there. Bizarre.
Dear oh dear, seems like someone escaped. Time to righten that. And with those words, Ochita grabs a hunk of crystal and imprisons the sprirt inside it.
Ochita attempts to imprison the soul within a chunk of crystal. [2] It doesn't really fit, however. Grab [3] He at least manages to get it to grab the crystal, but it looks ready to make a break for it at the first opportunity.
I gather a bit of spectral fire from Vraccas' forge and form the ground of a small planet out of it.
HmH attempts to gather spectral fire from Vraccas' anvil. [1] He somehow manages to seize the void left in its wake. Planet [6] He spins it into a planet nonetheless, resulting in a relatively small planet of shadow.
Shadow planet created.Train the snakes people to use the Elfs as cattle.
Bob attempts to train the worm-things. [4] They understand the basic concepts, and slither out to catch their runaway herd. Catch [5] They expertly cut off the runaway elves, tripping them and getting them to try to hide behind the worms, being the only real cover out there.
Vraccas attempts to create the GodForge, a workshop with no equal which is capable of crafting and working mortal souls and other types of divine item.
Vraccas attempts to create a divine workshop. [4] He succeeds in creating a divine room with various tools for forging souls and other items of divine interest. It's not particularly impressive somehow, but it will certainly help with related endeavors.
GodForge, celestial workshop for divine items, including souls, created.Agamemnon is very displeased with the current events. He turns his attention away from his creation and sits with Vraccas and smokes some good spectral matter with him and thinks about his next move, gathering all of his godly strength to finally do something right!
Agamemnon sits back, smoking spectral matter while trying to focus himself. [1] This lull only makes him consider elves, making him angry and unfocused. Now his works will probably be worse than ever.
Split the moon in half - set one orbiting Hoz-Tar, the second shall be hurled toward the planet.
Hozac attempts to split the moon. [4] He succeeds, shearing it down the middle. Shaping Moon [1] He completely sunders the half he intended to keep, however, spilling a mass of asteroids around his planet. Positioning [4] It properly takes up orbit, however, resulting in a miniature asteroid belt around Hoz-Tar. Shaping Weapon [6] The remaining half is shaped into an angry-looking hammer of divine wrath, ready to inflict maximum damage. Impact [5] This projectile's aim is dead on, slamming into the planet perfectly center.
Volcanism [3] There is some volcanic activity as a result, but it's mostly harmless and ineffectual.
Earthquakes [2] Hoz-Tar is almost completely unshaken by the resounding blow.
Structural Damage [1] The structure of Hoz-Tar is almost completely unaffected by the moon's collision.
Moon Damage [4] The moon itself sunders apart as might be expected.
Dust [6] Well at least something was destroyed. The impact seems to have generated a tsunami of dust that is now sweeping across the planet.
Collision still in progress on Hoz-Tar. Tsunami of dust created on Hoz-Tar. Thick asteroid rings added to Hoz-Tar.I shall create a large island chain in the water with radial symmetry.
Nirur attempts to create islands in his lake. [1] Really? Up is down on this world? "Create mountains" means "create oceans" and "create islands" means "create the abyss?" Nirur has just about had it with this world's crazy geology.
Ring lake deepened to abyssal deep ring lake. The Karante turns the white beast of Karus into a statue for five turns.
Karante attempts to turn the white beast into a statue for a while. [3] It succeeds in turning the beast into a statue, but it will likely only last two more turns.
Make the beasts immune to all weapons(can only be harmed by "weaponry" that is physically part of a LIVING creatures bodey
Yei'astol attempts to render the beasts immune to manufactured weapons. [5] This goes magnificently, rendering the existing beasts' hides almost impervious to most metals. The distances and numbers prevent it from functioning perfectly, of course, and she has little time for anything else.
White beasts rendered extremely resistant to metal weapons.I make the Elves able to survive without eating. This will either go very right or very wrong.
Alex attempts to make the elves able to survive without food. [2] This fails utterly, perhaps because of the distances involved.
Don't Die
The last straggling plant on Hoz-Tar attempts to make it. [2] Nope. Hoz-Tar is now bereft of plant life.
Don't Die
The dying elves attempt to stave off their fate. [6] They're up, chipper, and active, in that worrying caffeine-late-at-night sort of way. Find Turnips: [3] Nothing, but at least now they know where there isn't food.
Catch Scent? Also Water
The beast on Hoz-Tar attempts to find water. [5] It finds a clear, cool riverlet. No danger of dehydration for a while. Scent [3] It thinks it smells food over there somewhere, but it can't really narrow it down much.
Swim!
The fish on Hoz-Tar attempt to survive and thrive. [5] They are fruitful and multiply. Mutation [4] Numerous new colors and slight deviations of shape occur for no particular reason. Deep [2] They still ignore the bounty beneath them, however.
Fish on Hoz-Tar doing well, population increased.Party!
The elves on Agamemnoid attempt to survive. [2] Those mud pies aren't looking so good, and they feel sick. Turnips [5] One of them manages to find a [Even] sword lying on the ground. Curious. They continue their amorous ways. [3] Only one of the women is knocked up again. Slackers.
Stuff?
Lacking much in the way of sophistication, the dwarves attempt to be at least a little dwarven. [2] They fail, gibbering like apes and standing around. Food [6] They gorge themselves on a variety of crystal blue and muck. Turnips [6] One stumbles upon a scattering of [Even][Odd][Odd] a sword and two turnips. Use [5] They immediately recognize that the sword is not for eating, but rather a useful weapon and tool.
Thrive!
The plants try to survive the muck. [3] They begin to falter, the stagnation finally taking its toll.
Dodge!
The beast in orbit around Agamemnoid attempts to dodge the incoming moon. [3] It's merely clipped by the massive projectile. Grab [4] It at least manages to grab hold, and is now on solid ground.
What?
The elves on the crystal moon look around for what to do now. [4] They see a small hollow, and figure they can live in there a while. Turnips [5] They also happen upon [Even][Odd] a turnip and a sword. Food and a knife to divide it up, how nice.
Survive!
The elves on Karus attempt to survive their peculiar surroundings. [6] They spread out, exploring a surprisingly large area. Turnips [4] They locate several turnips and swords in their sweep, but haven't come back together to share yet.
Free!
The Karus beast struggles against its imperfect prison. [2] It fails, however, and remains a statue.
FEED!
The ukulele beast chases the elves. Beast [1] Elves [5] Under their cunning new mobile cover, the elves remain stealthily hidden while the beast takes off in the wrong direction.
Whatnowwhatnowwhatnow
The elves attempt to find a more permanent way to hide. [3] They sort of discover a better than out in the open way, but it's just hiding behind the worms. Turnips [3] They fail to find anything of use in their immediate vicinity.
Ranch!
The worms attempt to get their cattle settled. [3] Somethin's makin' 'em jumpy. Maybe that ther' ravenous bigger 'an a horse carnivore huntin' em like wild animals? Hard ta say.
Now what?
The elves on the crystal planet try to survive. [1] Maybe that glow is making them sick, because they do not feel well at all. Turnips [2] They're too sick to go look for things.
...swim?
The beast hurled into space tries to right itself. [4] It succeeds in not going in the wrong direction anymore.
...swim?
The elves in orbit around the brightest sun try to do stuff. [4] They sort of swim away from the sun.
...swim?
The elves in orbit around the red sun try to swim away. [6] They're now floating free in space. Direction [4] They're sort of heading towards habitable worlds, though.
Artfully arranged stars.
Aphronze, bright green dodecahedron sun, orbited on opposite sides by Bethrar, a small purple dodecahedron sun, and Gamthra, a small red dodecahedron sun. Aphronze currently orbited by a couple elves.
Hoz-tar, a large banded brown planet with volcanic cracks. Cracks are mostly geysers and small volcanoes. Maelstrom ocean filled with small, highly mutation prone fish in one region, with a few rivers connecting it to the geyser systems. Food litters the bottom of the ocean, with whale-like bottom feeders scooping it up. Surface a severe series of cliffs and spires, with some light erosion. Scattered, occasional veins of minerals running through surface. Small grove of dead saplings in one region. Handful of chipper but probably still dying elves in another. White beast hunting said elves, but in a far away place. Surrounded by asteroid belt. Currently finishing impact with half of its former moon.
Holy Agamemnoid, a crystalline blue planet of bizarre angles. Mostly coated in nutritious muck, with a few sluggish rivers moving things around. Hurricane-force winds of light. Small shoots emerging from one region. Field of shattered crystal, both its own and that of the luminous moon, in one region. Amorous elves in another region, and utterly omnivorous but not very impressive dwarves in another. Have at least found a sword and realized its potential. Orbited by the crystal moon.
Crystal moon, rough blocky crystal shape. Perfect brightness for a moon. Orbits Holy Agamemnoid. Handful of elves with one sword and one turnip clinging to surface. Beast injured from impact on surface.
Ukulele moon with starlight strings. A few elves huddle in fear on the surface, hiding behind toothed worms that have declared the elves their cattle. Ravenous white beast hunting them on surface, currently heading in wrong direction.
Karus, slightly larger than Hoz-Tar, similar banded brown. Rough, rocky surface. Atmosphere distributes sunlight evenly, resulting in eternal twilight and always-visible stars. Artistic and elaborate river systems, including an ocean and a massive ring-shaped extremely deep lake. Surrounded by massive but beautiful grey rings. Handful of elves scattered through one region. Petrified white beast.
Fairly large blue-purple crystal orb planet, glowing with inner power. Handful of sickly, possibly dying elves on surface.
Fairly small shadow planet.
Faint scattering of turnips and swords on all bodies.
A few things I might not have made clear:
Nirur's unintentional lake is shaped like a ring, not a circle. I couldn't think of the right word. It's not completely unbroken, either, but generally water leaks through the passes anyway.
Ochita never actually mentioned where he was creating his plants, so I assumed he just made them and held on to them.
The GodForge currently provides relatively minor (and completely subjective) bonuses to crafting relevant items. More dramatic results would need multiple turn to create.
The lunar impact on Hoz-Tar is such a massive event that it will take another turn to complete. This also makes another chance for it to actually do something, rather than just covering the planet in moon dust. Turn two won't just be a repeat of turn one, however, so it probably missed out on its destructive slam potential.
