RMPG- the Random Music Playlist Game
« on: July 03, 2010, 12:12:54 am »

This game is very simple. Go into your iTunes, Zune staion doodad, or wherever you keep all the music files on your computer. Set it to shuffle all of your songs. Post the first three songs that come up, no matter what. Bonus points if you add links to a stream of the song (IE youtube or the like) so we can listen to it. Alternative: The last 3 songs you listened to- again, no matter what they are!

Yes, this will be silly and embarrassing. That's the point. Now see how many rounds you can without saying, "But I don't like that song! Really!"

To get us started, here's mine:
1. Take On Me- a-ha
2. Owner of a Lonely Heart- Yes (oh come ON! Stop picking 80s songs...)
3. Battery- Metallica

It's a complete fluke that two out of three of these songs are by Muse. I have 26 songs by them out of 266. Anyone know what the statistical probably of the result I got?

And on my other music device, which doesn't do random playlists (at least not how I've got it set now) but does do play history, my last three played songs were from random selection for a search on 'boom'

The Terror of Sis-Boom-Ba - Tom Smith
Boom-Boom Mancini - Warren Zevon - I hadn't played that version, but D@mn, I should have, that's an amazing intro.
Boom, Like That - Mark Knopfler

I saw Yes in concert last week, I think. Posting my playlist in a sec.
1. I Want to Hold Your Hand, by the Beatles.
2. I'm Blue, by (I'm guessing) Eiffel 65.
3. Jack and Dianne, by John Cougar Mellancamp.

Don't worry, my playlist isn't filled with old songs.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
