A new low in the Civil War bug.
« on: July 02, 2010, 02:13:40 am »

I am in the inn of an utterly devestated town - it's the only large building left.
The warlord just ordered me to kill the demon-lawgiver STANDING NEXT TO HIM.

I don't even have the option of running and not becoming an enemy of my civ.

EDIT: Skinless Demon Law-Giver Lerdi is not pronouncing my doom and attacking me! I think I'll just slink on out of this messed up town.

Maybe you just came as the Civil War is at it's climax, with only the two "leaders" left standing.

As they were having the usual conversation before a duel, you came in...and one was smart enough to hire your expertise immediately.

This may be so. THe others left are all military sorts.
The Demon claims that they have no troubles.

I'd take his word for it. That guy seems legit.

They will soon.

The Warlord will still attack you if you attack the demon, due to the fact that while the Warlord wants the demon killed, they're still part of the same CIV entry, and the game marks you as the Warlord's enemy for attacking a member of his Civ.

That is the Civil War bug, hence the title of the post.
I thought I wasn't going to get a chance to even decline to kill the thing, though. Since most megabeasties and such immediately identify themselves and try to kill you when you are questing after them.

Technically, he just wants to take your head. After all, there can be only one.

You see he wants you to make it look like an accident.

You see he wants you to make it look like an accident.

I am suddenly very curious whether that is even possible.
Is it?

Well, you could "accidentaly" set a fire near the target and wait 'till they cook. Or you could "accidentaly" drop several burning leather stuff around/ below the target.

You could even "accidentally" lead several wild (preferably large & vicious) animals & beasts to their homes at sleepy nap time at night and let them do the dirty deed (Or if a civ's at war with them, bring over a recruit at night and let them do the strangling).

Let your dark imagination run wild...so many ways...

Launch as in throw them...while alive? Well, as of now you can't even aim where you throw them, and even if you could with the current system, they'll take it as a hostile action by you.

Still prefer this method though...

That's me watching the show in a safe distance. Oh and I love the meat shops name :)
