Heal them slightly with every kill? Use money to heal themselves automatically? A shield that shrugs off damage over a specific amount?

Yeah I was thinking heal on every kill as well, even if it was very minor (or scaled to difficulty/perk level) that would be a good addition.  And Duke, I'd love to play with you too some time.

Ok, I'm hosting for a little while. Server's the one with bay12 in the name and password's bay12.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Noooo....nooooooo....read...so...many...suggestion threads....on KF forums.....brain....can't...handle....more...suggestions...

Seriously, I've been with the game so long, I think I've read every conceivable idea there is on the game.

Almost all the suggestions are moot until the long-promised balance patch arrives.

The M14, Crossbow and SCAR basically rip the challenge straight out of the game, even at suicidal. Typical suicidal group looks like:

3 Sharpshooters
2 Commandos
1 Medic

A typical suicidal game goes 3 to 4 rounds without incident, and then one mistake gets made, someone dies, and the rest of the group dies shortly after.

The game balance has been out of whack since the update. Once the balance patch comes and we know what they're willing to change (the M14 is definitely going to get it) then I think it's time to reevaluate all the perks again.

Turns out my internet's not really up to hosting right now. We're still playing, but on other people's servers now.

So I've been playing this with friends since I made the thread and we're getting a little bored of the core maps. We found the Current Map White List thread on the official forums (http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=41919) but we have no idea where to start. Do B12ers have favorite whitelisted maps? We're really not that great (still on normal, perks around level 3-4, only 4 of us) and we tend to prefer light maps that have a relatively easy to defend area as opposed to dark, cramped ones, but really I'm just looking for suggestions of good maps.

If you don't own Killing Floor yet now's a great time to get it.  The game is 10 bucks until Monday at 10 am PDT.  In fact all KF stuff is 50% off.  The game is 10, and all three character packs are 1 dollar each 4 character pack.

They're also soon to be releasing a new free content update.

Fucking ffffffinnnnnnaaaaaaaallllllyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

This update pretty much did everything I wanted. Nerfed the M14 hardcore, made the crossbow harder to get, and made you pick one or the other. And the LAW finally moving to demolitions. The MAC-10 is just icing on the cake.

The SCAR damage reduction is much appreciated too. Was sick of hearing 4 SCARS each game chatter away, mowing down anything that wasn't a big bad.

Beserkers (especially the chainsaw and machete) haven't been changed, the M14 has tons of ammo rather than a near limitless supply and you are more limiting in supporting weapons (though there's not really enough of a change that makes you need them- also I don't think you could ever use crossbow+M14 so that's not an issue).

The crossbow is still there in all it's one hit killing glory. I suppose on harder difficulties it will be a bit harder to get, but with my perk levels of 2-3 and normal difficulty it really isn't that much cash.

Not sure about the SCAR changes, but I didn't use it much on anything but scrakes and FPs since the bullpup dealt fine with everything else so I'm not entitled to really say about it. LAW buff looks good, but you still can't wield it and any other weapon so that still sucks. Maps are nice, and I'm going to try the MAC-10 now.

Might have to start playing this again, I bought like three copies of this when it was 50% off last time.

LAW is great at clearing a large area, but that is almost never needed and could just as well been done with a grenade launcher. 15 shots and no other weapon is just not worth it.

Scar had its damage nerfed quite a bit. As lvl 5 commando i could kill crawlers in one shot, now it just takes 5/7 of their health(suicidal)
Strange guy, you must be playing normal? Bullpup sucks =P

This looks like the most recent Killing Floor thread, and I don't want to make a new one so:
