Anybody else want to drop their steam names so that we can get some killing floor action in at some point? I added bluerobin and head but neither have responded to any messages yet!

I'd be happy to play KF but don't really want to post my Steam name online in case some random people decide to friend invite me.  Maybe we should set up an event with the DFC group or something.  I usually just play on the lowest ping server I can find that has settings I don't mind though.

This is kind of off topic but Red Orchestra, the other game that used to be a UT2004 mod but then got released as a retail game by Tripwire Interactive is on sale for $2.50  Get it now!  It's like a much more user friendly Operation Flashpoint set in WW2 on the Eastern Front.  Also It needs people to play on servers that don't run the Danzig map 24/7!

Here's a link to the biggest DF Steam group (I think it's the largest anyways.) I'm Jumpyjump on there. Be warned, if I play anything less than hard, I get bored, bitchy and start suggesting things like playing on FF servers.

That's why you play Poundemonium!

Playing as commando, you can see health bars through the smoke.

Sadly. I was Commando when this happened.

Don't make me come over there, and shoot you with the healing gun!

Entire grenade launcher pumping, pipe bomb chucking blast happy perk line for your enjoyment.

I think they also added the M14 (laser sighted rifle), SCAR, AK, and AA (Full-Auto Shotty) with that update. Of course now the LAW is even more useless.

AA12, you mean

Also, the update that's going to be released soon will ad... "something" to the firebug perk.

About time, that class is useless at the moment.

Sorry about that! The last two nights I've been playing LAN games with irl friends and last night I didn't see your message until I was shutting down my computer. I should have time tonight though, I'll watch for you.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

If somebody wants to play some games of this I'll be glad to install it again and play along with whoever.

Whaaaaat? I disagree, good sir. Maybe on FF servers, but anywhere else and it's literally a life saver. Your face is getting eaten? Melt everything around you. Friend getting eaten? Spray him with napalm. Group of.. anything? Squirt magma on them. Well.. unless they're fleshpounds  :o
You're melting yourself? Level up the perk!

Maybe things have changed drastically since I last played, about three months after release, but I used to top scoreboards every game easily with firebug. Did the other perks get buffed that much?

Mostly firebug just needs something (of its own) to use against Scrake/Fleshpound/Patriarch type things. It chews through all the other experiments like butter. It's currently a lot like Commando prior to the AK/SCAR.

And I'm really not sure what you could give a berserker to make them more survivable and less of a liability. (Aside from stapling a medic to them.)
