So, what are you so confused about? Children come out fully bearded, of course, they're dwarven children after all. The stats you see are an effect of SCIENCE and HIVEMIND.

'He', or 'Toady' would be more appropriate here, considering he is the only member of the 'They' you speak of...





Sorry, just one of my pet peeves, whenever I see someone saying 'they' when referring to the development of DF it bugs the hell out of me :\

While I feel your pain as a fellow language nazi, Toady always says "we" in the devlog, so "they" is probably appropriate.
