So... defcon.

What is Defcon?

It's chess, but with nukes. The game is easy to learn but difficult to master. How you play the other players is as important as how you play the game. The ability for backstabbing, political intrigue, and happily blowing each other to smithereens in Defcon can't be matched. It and 3 other games are $5 on steam until July 4th.

So let's get some bay12 games going.

Tonight's results so far:
None of us really remember/know how to play. Pandar nukes the crap out of woose and umi while my europe screens for him after I accidentally quit the game. London survives a blitz of a couple dozen nukes and planes sent at it.

I won due to the unique advantage of having allied with Kael against the others in secret moments before he left, thus giving me a screen of his un-nuke-sending-ever silos since I was Russia and he was Europe.

Psh, I was still trying to figure out how to move my units when both Woose and Pandar nuked me from the black abyss. Heck, I didn't know what missiles silos did, I thought they were automatic. I think I qualify as being less experienced than everyone.

Yeah, can't say I got a good first impression.

Ahh, don't worry about it, umi. I was interested in eliminating woose when I noticed his battleships moving towards me. Then pandar asked for an alliance so I took it. Woooooooooooooooose! You sank most of my ships. And before I could get attacking nukes set up I exited That's pretty bad.

Note to self: pressing esc twice automagically exits the game.

Pro Tip: If you ever have a fleet attacking you, use the stealthbombers. They've got better anti-ship capabilities than fighters, and fighters regenerate on airstrips. So send them in first to soak up the damage.
