What volume makes it louder? The slider has -40 but only positive 5.
Also, still no luck getting sounds to actually play. There isn't even a "currently playing" list

EDIT: Hold on, does SounPack.zip need to be extracted? It seems to be corrupted even after multiple downloads.

YAY! I got it working. I must say it is really amazing, but how do I stop the normal df music from playing in the background?

EDIT: Got a really great soundfile for death, but where do I upload it?

You either hit esc in df, go to music and sound and lower it to 0 (the bar is clickable, clicking on the bottom makes it 0)  Of you turn sound off in the DF init files.

Sorry bout not thinking of unzipping the soundpack.  I guess I kinda assumed folks unzip files when they download automatically when there isn't really any reason why I should assume that.  It didn't cross my mind when I was trying to think out what could be wrong.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer to your other question either.  Unless Zwei comes in posting something after this, might wanna PM them.  Might have a preferred submission process.

I'll try that. BTW, the sound in question is that scream when a party member dies in wiz8

Otherwise known as the loading save sound effect in my book... at least until somebody learned rez something like 20 hours in hehe.  Sounds good, Wilhelm works, but he gets old after awhile.

I always thought the death scream from wiz was one of the most piercing, pants-wetting screams ever. That and the game over sound. Then again, it was my first game so I was 5.

I try to startup soundsense but I get this error instead.

Its faded because the widow appears for like a fraction of a second and that's the best I could get.

...huh. I'd updated Java, or so i'd thought, but it turned out my Java Runtime wasn't, so now it works fine. Thanks for the help.

No problem. Also, should I put my neato death sound up on DFFD?

Hmm alright so.. starting soundSense in high priority mode doesn't help. soundSense is starting a Java process. For sound not to stutter the priority of the Java process has to be set above normal. I don't have a clue of where to start searching to do that. Any idea?

Having some issues here as a mac user. (Mac 10.7.3)

First I Didn't have java 1.7 installed, but after correctly installing java 1.7, when I ran the *.jar by itself it started and asks me for gamelog.txt file, then showed errors in the console, mentioning some 'Class not found' Exceptions. Right, that's probably what's defined in the sh file.

However when I run the sh file I get the following error:

Code: [Select]
line 11: syntax error near unexpected token `fi'
line 11: `fi'

Any ideas?

=Edit=
Was able to get it working after some custom editing of the of the sh file.

I wish apple officially supported java 1.7, since then we'd be able to use the 'jar wrapper' that comes with XCode to make a mac wrapper application

Is there any place for custom additions for things that are not currently making sounds?
I looked around quite a bit but couldn't find anything for this.  I obviously have the sound pack, but I know that there is more actions from the packskeleton.zip that are not currently using sounds, anyone?

What do you guys think about the new combat sounds I did? They are part of the official soundpack now.
