No. I stopped playing after I got tired of reading "lol" and l33t-sp34k. Immersion is impossible with that kind of interference!

That, and the art was ugly.

You get that in any online game anywhere which is open to the internet public.

This is why DF is best.

Yes. Clearly a bug that ought to be fixed in the future, but exploit it in the meantime.

You could, you know, talk to them?

just kidding, thats not nearly dwarfy enough.  Begin an elaborate and secretive construction project in your home so the next time he/she opens the bathroom door they get hit with a massive flood of water (magma if you happen to have some)

Balderdash!  Talking is a wonderful source of XP levels, which in turn is a great way to boost stats!  It's free, it's fast, and it burns off those calories while building muscle!

Note that you no longer gain stats on training nonmilitary skills...

Working on those social skills also makes you very prone to tantrum spirals.

There is no longer any benefit from allowing dwarves to socialize. With the prior version you at least had a choice of taking the easy route to get them to socialize to improve attributes at the risk of tantrum spirals, or keep them isolated but then have much slower attribute gains.

You know, being as the original poster only posted once (not even just once in this thread, once on this entire board), I think it's probable that he/she only set up an account to make that one statement, and hasn't been checking it at all, so this litany of responses to the original poster are likely wasted.
I'd say it is a good thing she did not read. Im not sure that a thread boiling down to mockery and/or 's*cks to be you' is what she would have wanted to see. (Although she probably should've expected it...)

For future reference, you're allowed to say "sucks" here.

Take care when spending a lot of time together talking though, or else spores will do their thing and you will get pregnant. Magically.

Try seducing him if you won't do that.
And if this doesn't work, either he is gay or you are not sexy.

Given that the OP used the ID "Widower" (which is the male counterpart of a widow), and that the partner is referred to as a "he", half of the above may already be true.   ;D

Seriously, erasing directories from someone else's computer in an attempt to control them belongs at best in a parent-child relationship.  It might work in a sibling relationship as horseplay.  It has no place in an adult romantic relationship.

I can't stand it when my family members would close windows on my computer.  I would have gone nuclear on them had they tried to erase my hard drive.  I mean, cut all ties with them as kin kind of rage.

Guys, this is my second post on this board. I don't claim to know a lot about DF.

What I do know about is the Internet, in particular online communication.

Which is why I can say with a fair degree of confidence that YOU'RE ALL POSTING IN A TROLL THREAD.

Really? I thought the topic creator was using a thinly vieled attempt to compliment the game?

Afterall he said basically that the game was SOO fun that it needed a time limit so that his friend would start speaking to him again.

But apperantly it can be taken either way.
