Better traps

Stone traps should require the stone be placed above the tile that is targeted

Stones should be able to roll (perhaps if they are started from or land on a ramp tile)

More like a giant conveyor that raises a dwarf up 50 Z levels, while raising a keg up at the same time. At the top, a pressure plate is rigged so that if the dwarf doesn't drink the booze, the additional weight activates the pressure plate and he plummets into the magma sea.

Well, not at first. Not until we start doing it with creatures like elves...

Except, with elves, it would work differently. They would have to either throw a log into the magma, or plummet.

I'd imagine somewhere between when that release is implemented, and the time it takes a child to open a present on x-mas

Legs are finished for now, inserting pumpwork for magma and water will be a bear, but that can be ignored for now.

I have decided on a rough colorscheme:
Puddingstone/Conglomerate brown shoes
Marble white pants
Bauxite red vest
Microcline blue shirt
Obsidian black beard and hair
Metal face and hands

I'm still trying to decide a good flesh tone. I was thinking bronze or brass might end up being good, but I really lack aesthetic ability. If anyone has any suggestions on colorscheme, I'll gladly take advise on anything but the pants and shoes I've already done.

I've been agonizing over digging down to magma, I want some metal industry going, if only as a way to make more bins, and the growth rate of trees when compared to my Speed1 dwarves is frustrating. I imagine I'll need to either figure a way to mod trees to grow faster too or take the fps hit required to dig down to magma. I could probably save some time by finding a version of reveal that works for 31.08.

To answer, there is only one dwarf planned, and he will only be drinking booze. After I upgrade my processor and motherboard I may begin a larger project that involves a dwarf and goblin fighting. But in all honest my artistic abilities were taken to their limit by this project, I'd need the help of a decent 3D modeler to figure out anything more complex.

I say depending on how much time your dwarves are in the sun, either a copper brown, or a steel white. and i say the mug HAS to be made of adamantine, it just wouldn't be right otherwords.

Well, you could set up a metalworks by looking for bituminous coal and other stuff to make coke rather than use a magma forge. I stumble over that stuff like it's limestone. All it takes is a single log to get it rolling and boom, exponential fuel growth.

Also, on the topic of this project, FUCK YEAH!
