Why did they change codes, again? Did the frequent battles between Nar'Sie, Lord Singuloth, and ZAS (giant space arseholes, all of them) break the old code?

How does it hurt TG?

A lot of baystation code when ported to the /tg code base proved to be laggy and buggy with the much increased player base.
Although a lot of the negative comments stem from the stigma that resulted from the shoddy detective and dismemberment ports months and months back

As I remember, the baystation code BEFORE /tg/ was great. Why did they change it again? and why did they change the damned map?

so decompression didn't work on the Luna, whatever, it was awesome!

Jeez.

I downloaded the /tg/ code just to try out a local server on my machine (US servers lag worse for me than even BYOND can account for), and to get used to the controls without someone flushing me out of an airlock in my underwear.  :P

I ended up playing, on my own, until 4am.  I don't even know where the time went.  But I did have a moment of triumph when I managed to get the engine set up, working and charging the power cells on my own as the chief engineer.  Then I went and did some mining, and smelted some ore, and build some new flooring, and some new airlocks to replace the ones that I, uh, 'accidentally' broke...and then I realised it was getting on for four in the morning.  So I broke into the vault, spawned myself a nuclear disk, used the fact that I was administrating the server to get the nuclear code, and set the bomb to blow up, then called the shuttle and escaped just in time.

It's amazingly fun.  Pity I lag to hell and back whenever I try an actual server.  :-\

That's what makes be think we need DF in space. SS13 would be so much more fun if it was a bunch of people running around trying to build a spacestation rather than throwing poo in each other's fa(e)ces.

So, guys what's the easiest antag objective of these 3?

Plasma tank as scientist, RCD as QM/cargo tech, or jumpsuit/jetpack/laser gun as captain?

A couple of people have tried to get BS12 to have a gamemode like that, but it never took.

I'd love to play a consistent(ish) server for a week or so, starting from scratch in a small mining colony with a pickaxe and a spacesuit each and building as much of a station as possible in that time.
