Yeah. I miss the low constant paranoia of the solar panels.

Basically, all engies do is stare at numbers, get yelled at for not coming at value packs of 20, and swap light tubes.

Solar Panels? I think Grakelin was referring to when the engine was a giant fireball in the center of the station, those were the days..

I did. I entered as unassigned and make my way up to HOS. ...not quite legally, but by roleplaying.

I have to say i played this game a year back or so and it improved greatly. (Byond is still shitthy and drags the game a bit down.)
For me, the speaking bubbles helped a lot. It could be better thoug if they showed up the moment you start typing shoving three dots and after you press enter, they would show the whole text. ...would it be hard to make?

Yes, those are great. The problem is they show after you wrote your sentence, not while you're typing. If you want to stop somebody on the move he will walk past you in a one or two seconds not nearly enough to talk to him.

That's a limitation of Byond. There's currently no fast way to determine who should hear what you are saying, so the Byond guys resorted to a simple solution: anyone who can see you hears you. It's not the best way to do things, but it's faster ingame than us computing who can hear.

Not quite, you might (haven't tested) be able to hear through darkness that would normally impede sight. Probably also differences with invisibility and other sight affecting variables likely being ignored.

That isn't true, because a cap was able to listen in on a conversation between me and another on the bridge with a wall between us. I saw him with thermals.
