Yes, this looks much better for the eye. We should look into the pipe colors though because I've made pipes a bit darker (I think I will revert the change, we'll see).

Well, changing the pipe colors on these should be a snap, if we need to, since they don't change as the animation progresses.

I am working on some sprites, how are they?


These aliens are based on an alien from Metal Gear Solid 2 (I've just played it).
Do you need creature sprites?

Uuuuummmm... Don't you mean Metal Slug 2?  Cool sprites though.  Actually it'd be pretty cool if the whole game had that art style. :D  But that would be a pain I suppose, and it's a side scroller anyhow.

It's actually kinda easy to get banned. I wasn't paying attention to my warnings, and kept putting smiles  in my IC chat. 12 hour ban. Thems the breaks. *shrugs*

Metal Slug 2! Hehe, how could I make this mistake (the lack of sleep I guess :P), I haven't played MGS.

I plan to redraw computers and other stuff to be more "sinister" or just more complex-looking. Some SS13 items really need some shading/detalization. And SS13 uses flat front view sprites just fine, so any stuff from a side scroller may be implemented.

That's a limitation of Byond. There's currently no fast way to determine who should hear what you are saying, so the Byond guys resorted to a simple solution: anyone who can see you hears you. It's not the best way to do things, but it's faster ingame than us computing who can hear.

Why the gritty station theme? I've always enjoyed the cross between retro-scfi and the Aliens universe that is SS13. Don't really see the merit in changing it.

Another option is to make it partial- have Arrivals and the upper decks be nice, but the main area where all the plebs work have rusty discolored floors and computers with big red wires sticking out.

ANOTHER ENGINEER! HUZZAH!!!!!!

I've kinda got to consider myself an engineer now as much as I hate it. The past 10 or so rounds I've played from the spawn, I've been the solo engineer, and been a pretty damn good one.

Lots of people (including me) used to play Engineer all the time. But it's not as interesting any more, because meteors have been nerfed, and nobody wants to be the guy at the laser control booth. No matter what the people who designed the engine (or never play as engineer) say, it's kind of a shitty job now, by and large.
