I come on sometimes to see I'm job banned for no reason. Normally gets resolved pretty fast, but it's kinda random and I'm left wondering, "What did I do this time?"

There's something about literally all SS13 servers ever that seems to catalyze hostility amongst the players / management.
No kidding. A few weeks ago on a goon server, an RD, who really wanted to do the disease research apparently, killed me (A scientist) because I was researching diseases. I reported him, but there are like 5 admins or something, so no him getting in trouble.

I tried to wear a belt, and failed.  Then I tried asking for help, but then some gut just started randomly attacking me.

Ok, so I stared at a black screen for a few minutes and then I woke up and was apparently brain damaged.  Then I bashed my head against things until I died.

i don't play now because everything has been done before theres nothing really new to do or say. the chems being nerfed, the engine being as easy to start by pushing a button, and generally long rounds on the b12 server make it frustrating and boring. i know a certain someone may be happy i don't play anymore but this isn't about me. I feel that many peoples opinion is about the same about the current state of the game, hell on hondozu we had none of the hating or even close to as much greifing as we did we were a hard working coalition that had a deep impact on the dynamics and politics of the game long after we were gone. Don't get me wrong ss13 is a good game its fun, exciting, action packed, bloody, explosive game but i'm sure some people feel that its not a 'Bay12 Game'.

I been playing a few games a day. Pretty fun Rp sessions, some very brief and painful.

I think it is a good game, lots to learn and lots to do, sure I see how it could get old after a long time, but what doesn't?

I'd really like to play. However, our server is using a retarded spriteset and doesn't even seem to have something that resembles a station, just a... chamber.
A ship, actually. There's a map (missing a few small updates) here: http://baystation12.co.cc/map/
Also, what's wrong with the spriteset? Looking on the Goon or /tg/ servers, there's the same sprite set there, just that we've branched out (BS12, Goon and /tg/) and you will find some different sprites (e.g. for computers) depending on where you play.

Edit: alternatively, maybe you've joined 3 or 4 days ago, when we let loose the old version of our SS13 from January on the server, to see how things used to be. :) We're back to the up-to-date one.

What was your character name, do you remember? Or what is your Byond username? We've got logs saved for every round, and we can check them.

You'll find that our engine isn't started only at the press of a button and can explode pretty nicely. :) But regarding your other point, the generally long and boring rounds we might get on extended, we've been discussing on IRC a suggestion to plan special events. Action-oriented, or story/fluff-oriented. We already do some when there are admins on, and we're planning to set some guidelines for it to give everyone the opportunity to contribute.

Also, changes are planned and being worked on, but only as fast as we can. Right now, there's four programmers (and a whole other team of admins): Head, myself, Googol and Strumpetplaya.

I think it is a good game, lots to learn and lots to do, sure I see how it could get old after a long time, but what doesn't?
True. :) That's why we're going to try the planned-in-advance special rounds, to spice things up. A new map is also something we're thinking about, and we're working on various game modes (aliens or the Welder) and features (Strumpet and Googol's recent traitor objective changes, or the change to vending machines and supplies Strumpet did).

Also, regarding our numbers, they fluctuate, that is true. The special events we've been discussing would again have the objective to bring everyone together at certain times, but if you're looking for the times when there are more players on the server, it generally happens at around 21-22 GMT, and stays populated for the next eight hours or so.

The station Luna is a damnable maze. The 3rd floor especially needs some work. It really annoys me that captains/RDs can't go down a floor and go straight to the engine. The have to make a vertical J pattern with the movements.

Are there even stairs from the floor with the bridge to the floor below? I always use the maintenance shafts.
