So is the server and the thread still live and well? I wanted to join and play but as I've never played before ss13 I wanted to drop a line before actually joining and inevitably scrweing up

I've already gone trough the wiki so I'll not be joininv totally clueless... still...

also I wanted to know the general level of tolerance of new players, as I've already had my share of unfun in elityst communities kicking mewbs for the sake of it (alien swarm)

From what I've seen BS12 is about as welcoming as Bay 12.  That is to say they love getting new people and are generally pretty forgiving as long as the person seems to be trying.

had a couple of round yesterday and I was totally sucked in.

I'm at loss on how everything works but the atmosphere is great.

still, probably there were too few player to enjoy the full station experience. with few people, fewer guards and no one really trying to rp all the rounds revolved in AI hacking.

Aw, man. This morning (From around 12 hours ago through 8 hours ago. Yeah. Epic long.), right after a quick 4 player round where I arrested the cap, RD, and MD, and was called the pods. All would've gone well in that one if they all had just gotten in the damn locker. But anyways, back on topic. We were playing an RP heavy derelict mode. Googol later fluffed it as a Syndie mission, and at the end I fluffed it as a casualty heavy training mission. it was just so epic. Especially how we started with 3 people, one of which died pretty damn quick, but ended up with some 6 or so living. Oh, and we had a fully pressurized pod on launch. B)

O wow I was about to ask that this thread be started again but it seems that someone already was on it. I'm glad that this server is still up. Goons servers suck and no one takes RP seriously.

Has the station been downsized? The one thing that keeps me from playing the b12 server is that there are usually like 10 people on a station that looks like it was built for 50.

I prefer a big station, lots of places to hide/dismantle when things get bad fun.

I've been on alone before.  One it was just me and apples so we gave ourselves all the super powers and tried to blow up the bar.  The bomb was more of a small pyrotechnics display.
