Great deal on X-COM Complete today.
Ooh, thanks for that. I finally have X-COM. Now... which one do I start with?

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

I got GTA4 when the pack was on sale awhile back, and I was pleasantly surprised.  It's got all the mindless cathartic violence I enjoyed from GTA3, plus as a bonus a compelling, well voice-acted story(this is the part that surprised me).  I'd say it's well worth it as a 5 buck game.

Edit: Has anyone tried ARMA 2?  I'm downloading the demo atm, it looks like a DF community friendly game.

Steam sucks.

All software sucks.

Get over it.

Or install Games for Windows Live.

That's kind of like banging your head against the wall to stop the pain from cutting your finger.

I'll probably buy Team Fortress for my little brother, so he doesn't block my steam account while using it.

Also so many good games, but so little time :/

Suggesting a new forum rule:

No more advertising for steam.

Because even small purchases, when there are enough of them, make a dent in my wallet?

I mean, they're totally worth it, but...  :P

Apparently any money that we talk about on the other games section should obviously go towards Toady, since y'know... this isn't our money we're spending... its toadys

I've sent Toady more money than I've spent on any other game except for Eve Online. :P

Why?
Because it really starting to be annoying. It's called "other games" not "steam advertising" ffs. I can fire up the steam client any time and check for deals, I don't need every other thread in here to remind me.
